Our daughter has just started nursery and so has sadly come to the end of her regular time with Jean, who she has been with since she was nine months old.
She started off as a fairly clingy, shy baby, in part because we have no family in Glasgow and so she spent all of her time with me. I was nervous to begin with when I returned to work, but Jean made this process as easy as possible for me and our daughter. It took only a little time for her to become close to Jean, and the bond between them has been very close ever since.
Jean goes above and beyond for the children in her care and makes them feel happy and secure in her home. I’ve often met people who know my daughter from her time with Jean, and they’ve been keen to tell me how much time and effort they see her putting into her work.
My daughter has become a confident, chatty little girl who walked straight into nursery on her first day ready for anything. I know this wouldn’t have been possible without everything Jean’s done for her.
Jean has been like a member of the family to us. We’re delighted with how far our daughter has come, but will miss her a great deal. We’ll continue to stay in contact and can’t thank Jean enough for how happy, funny and confident she’s made our daughter over the last two and a half years.
