Totally messed us around!
I contacted Debbie, went to her house, met her and arranged to have my daughter start going there for childcare. She asked that I call soon to arrange meeting my daughter. I cannot think why but every time I called Debbie to arrange this, she did not answer the call, then would text me to say that she would call me back later that day etc. This went on until the Friday before I needed childcare. I was so distressed at needing the childcare to work. There had been weeks since Debbie had accepted the work that I could have found an alternative if she could have told me there was a problem or she did not want the work. Quite upsetting, stressful and completely unprofessional. Thankfully another brilliant child minder saved us at the last minute

Sorry for the delay in a response I have just seen your review.
I put my hands up and sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and stress caused.
I had a family crises, which at that time I could not commit to new clients. I am totally at fault and should have tried harder to talk to you in person. It was a difficult time for me and my family and I had commitments with my existing families and had to stay professional at all times, so my existing clients had my attention. I can only apologise.
Its with regret, you misunderstood that me wanting to meet your daughter meant that an agreement had been made to secure a placement for your child. All my clients are aware, that places can not be secured unless I have a written contract.
I am truly happy that you found a suitable childminder, there are a lot of truly great childminders in Brighton, who are committed to their jobs and do an outstanding job in looking after children. Its a hard but rewarding job, which I thoroughly enjoy and it pleases me to hear of families really appreciating what we do out there, by using the words like brilliant, it puts a smile on my face.
