My 2 and a half year old son has been with Cherie since he was 1. I have always been hesitant about sending my son to a nursery so at the time of me returning to work from maternity leave I was only considering child minders. Despite continuous family members and friends putting doubts in my mind about him ‘not being around enough children of his own age’ I went with Cherie, a year and a half on I have no regrets.

Cherie is like family to my son, he loves her and always looks forward to the days he spends there. There hasn’t been a single day he has come back in a bad mood. Majority of days, even gloomy days, I am sent many pictures and videos of the children playing in the garden. I think this is important as, not only my son, but all children I know love being outside in nature. She has a variety of play activities for the children. Outside she has messy play, water play (on hot days), a slide, a sand pit and the children can bring toys of their choice into the garden too. Inside she has an array of toys, musical instruments and also does lots of arts and crafts activities with the children. Some days Cherie will even take the children to the park and out for walks.
Most weeks her and my son will pick books from her collection for me to read with him at home which I have always found lovely. When I was pregnant with my second baby she would select books to help prepare him for having a little sister.
My sons speech, compassion, motor neuron skills and manors are excellent and I feel Cherie definitely has a part to play in that.
Another thing I like is the different ages of children he can play and interact with. Whether it’s being around younger children (helping him be caring and gentle with smaller children) or older children (learning new and more advanced skills from them).
My son will be with Cherie until he is of school age and when my daughter is old enough she will be going along too.
Not only is Cherie fantastic with children but she also cares about us parents too and has done many kind gestures for me in my time with her.
A lovely, nurturing women who I would highly recommend anyone to.
