My Summary
About Me
Hello families, thank you for visiting my page.
I have over 10 years experience working with children, mainly with ages newborn up to 11yrs old. I'm also mum to 7 year old Elliot, who is home educated.
I am an Ofsted registered childminder and I care for home educated children over 5 years old. Whether you have work commitments or want your child to have some independent time, I would love to hear from you!
We are very friendly and love to meet new people. We often go out for adventures, to heritage sites, parks, workshops, country walks, farms, national trust trips etc. We also enjoy engaging with the local home ed community, we attend a lot of the local social meet-ups, which is a lovely way for home educated children to meet like-minded friends.
On rainy days we like to play games together, paint and draw, bake and cook, craft, and have fun with our hobbies. We don't mind a rainy day trip in our wellies either!
I like to live as mindfully as possible and give the children the opportunity to develop their sense of responsibility, involvement and learning by doing. If you would like to know more then please don't hesitate to get in touch.

he moment I met Chloe I knew she was the perfect person to look after my 6 month old baby. Full of life, warm and kind, she is a great communicator and looks after the emotional as well as physical well-being of children. She gives enough independence that they can choose which skills to pick up, but is also there to support and stimulate development. Meals are healthy and varied. Toys are educational and books always on hand. Activities are varied and she builds a community around her setting, meeting up with other childminders in the area (this was pre-covid when it was allowed). My baby obviously enjoyed his time with her as he always went in with a big smile.
On the administrative side Chloe made things very easy. She is flexible and always tries to find a solution that fits everyone’s needs. She is very reliable and in the year she worked with us, she always went the extra mile to try to help. She’s also a pleasure to talk to at the end of a long day.
Overall I feel that we received a lot more than just childcare from Chloe. She set the bar very high for everyone that followed
I found Chloe through recommendations in my local area. I was nervous as my daughter had only been to a nursery before and didnt know much about child minders. As soon as we met Chloe and chatted with her I was put at ease and you could tell she had a passion for child care and alot of experience. Chloe was great with my daughter florence and she didnt want to leave.
Florence has been with Chloe for 5months 3days a week and is very much part of chloe's family. She has come on and developed so much since being at chloe's setting and just loves going. Which as a parent that all you want. A home from home. You want them to be happy and learn in a loving, safe environment.
Florence is always trying new organic foods and exploring lots of diffrent outdoor adventures. I get lots of pictures and a daily report.
Through such I tough time in the world (corona outbreak) Chloe has given Florence normality and fun. I'm forever grateful.
I honestly couldn't recommend Chloe's House enough.
I have 3 young boys and Chloe has looked after them many times. She has been professional in her role and has been very kind and engaging with the boys. The boys love gardening and I remember returning home on one occasion to a surprise in the garden...Chloe and the boys had been busy weeding the veg patch!
Chloe has been a breath of fresh air and we were sad when we heard she is moving to London. We miss her already!
We wish her every happiness in her new endeavours!
Having agreed a price/date/time for Chloe to babysit for us this Saturday night I had no communication from Tuesday onwards. Had to source a replacement on Friday for our first night out since our 15 month was born.
Incredibly annoyed and disappointed - a simple text/email to say plans had changed etc. Would have been far more professional.

Response by Chloe D on 08/11/2016:
I am very sad and sorry to receive this review. I had been admitted to hospital unexpectedly.
Additionally to me having to go in to hospital we had not confirmed particulars for any babysitting, I had no address details and we had not spoken on the phone nor met up for introduction/ID and certificate checks. So I am confused why this parent thought we had an arrangement. However, despite the fact that no arrangement had been confirmed I got in touch with the parent at the earliest opportunity.
I offered to put her in touch with families I currently babysit for regularly to put her mind at ease that I am normally very reliable in keeping in touch and responding to queries and that this was a one off emergency. I explained the unfortunate personal circumstances of that week and apologised for the bad timing. The parent didn't reply to my message.
As the review has been left on my profile I now feel forced to give an answer/explanation publicly too.
All I can do is apologise for any misunderstanding.
I am proud of the way I conduct myself with families and I take my role as a childcare provider very seriously.
