My Requirements

Currently my husband and I are hybrid workers and while either one of us is generally working from home, we need help with after school care and general household management covering weekday core hours from 2pm-7pm. Thus we are looking for a nanny-housekeeper to assist us with our household and two children, aged 6 and 9.

We are generally flexible with routines, hours, etc (subject to discussion and agreement), so for example we could figure out routines that benefit us all, cancel Friday after school care, offer optional full-time care during school holidays etc, however in principle your expected duties would include:

- Housekeeping: Maintain an organised, safe and clean home environment and daily laundry
- Daily routine: school pickups, homework guidance, bathing and meal preparation for the family
- Nurturing: working with us and the kids to encourage their independence and self esteem through completion of small tasks/chores
- Engagement:  Chatting to the kids at meal times, encouraging them with their homework and incorporating educational and fun activities, tailored to their interests (especially during school holidays)

We live in a house in Stoneleigh, which is a 15 minute walk to their school Meadow Primary. Cuddington Park, Nonsuch Park and Stoneleigh Broadway are also nearby and we have a large garden for the kids to play in. We have one French Bulldog who is very friendly and we have a cleaner that comes on Fridays.

My daughter is 9 and loves reading, playing dress up and doing crafts. She adores books, particularly Horrible Histories, and loves sharing facts with you, or putting on little shows. She needs occasional guidance with her homework, practicing her spelling words and multiplication tables. She loves playing board games too.

My son is 6 and is generally a cheerful chap. He loves building things. Cardboard and tape are his favourite tools, and we are presented with his creations multiple times a day. He likes playing in the garden, riding his bicycle, and making art and building Lego. He also loves books, and loves being read to. His reading and maths is coming on nicely, but he needs help to practice his writing.
