Sufia is one of a very few child minders in Redbridge that have been classified as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. I can see why this is - I feel that the level of care Sufia provides is truly exemplary! The warmth Sufia shows and provides for the children in her care is quite something!
I have a daughter that used to go to Sufia, who is now in Primary School and another who is still with Sufia.
Sufia cares for children from babies to school-age and you cannot help but warm to her maternal nature. It is a very comforting feeling knowing you are leaving your child with someone you trust implicitly.
Over the past three years, I have a met a woman who has, along with her family, become a very important part of our lives - I feel I would do her an injustice if I called her ‘just’ a child minder, as she is so much more; she has become an ‘Aunty’ to my children and a true friend and ‘confidante’ to me.
From the moment you step into Sufia’s house, you know that you are on to a winner: the house is set up with children in mind – the playroom is stimulating and brimming with a range of age-appropriate, good quality toys and books, the family parrot in the corner captivates the children and the huge garden has all the enticement of an adventure playground!’ The welcome from her three girls and their delightful smiles always makes my day and my girls are off playing before I can blink an eyelid!
I am more than satisfied with every aspect of care that Sufia provides for my daughter. Here are are just some examples:
Creativity: My daughter has often come home with a pot of watercress, finger paintings and decorated cupcakes – Sufia allows the children to fulfil their creative potential and understands the importance of learning through play. Quite often the morning will start with the children singing along to their favourite nursery rhymes which is a lovely was to start the day!
Learning: I feel that Sufia has played a very big part in getting my daughter prepared for nursery: teaching numbers and the alphabet, recognising and spelling out your name, colours, animals – the list is endless! She has also taught her the important skills of sharing, being kind and playing with other children.
Food: My daughter can be a fussy eater but Sufia has her eating all kinds of wonderful things that are cooked from fresh, last week she ate spinach, which was a first! She provides balanced and healthy meals, as well as snacks of yoghurt and fresh fruit and takes dietary needs into consideration.
Hygiene: Sufia has a dedicated toilet which is conveniently located very near the playroom. She has taught my children how to go to the toilet independently and helped them make the big leap from nappy to potty. She has also drummed into them the importance of hand washing – they all have dedicated hooks with flannels on them . Younger children also have dedicated nappies and creams in order to avoid cross-contamination.
I must mention how much I respect Sufia's professionalism; whenever I have had any concerns, Sufia has been willing to listen and respect that as parents we have anxieties that need to be abated. She never takes a concern personally and will do the utmost to put your mind at ease.
She also has what I would call a very 'fair but firm' policy, whereby she is as flexible as possible to meet parents' needs but will not compromise on her childcare ratio or any aspects of health and safely.
Being from an educational background, I wanted somebody who could take care of my daughter’s emotional and physical needs when she was a baby as well as prepare her for nursery when she was of school age – Sufia has surpassed my expectations in all of these areas. She has helped my daughter become a confident, well rounded, sociable and most importantly, happy and contented child and for this, I am eternally grateful.

My daughter has been looked after by Sufia for the last two years and over that time I could see and feel with how much love, dedication and affection she is providing an outstanding care for all the children she looks after.
In fact, it is the whole setting and environment and the involvement of her lovely family (yes - a big thank you to you all!!) that makes it a real home for my child and makes you feel that isn't a childminders place but extended family. Oh, and family - maybe I should count the pet bird as well. I grew up with pets, loved it and I just felt so lucky that Sufia has a pet, too. Children love that.
I truely believe that the individual attention that my daughter gets at her place is hardly to be found anywhere and surely not in a nursery. When I go to work then I know that my girl is not only looked after but also entertained. Sufia takes care of the little ones learning and development but also teaches rules and good behaviour. Also, there are always other children around she can play and socialise with.
And let's not forget that she has probably a better and bigger outdoor space than some nurseries which gives your child the opportunity to be out as much as possible. That keeps your child fit and healthy together with the good food that is prepared from scratch.
As I am expecting my second child end of the year I didn't even think of anything of anyone else but to have my baby looked after by Sufia when I return to work and I am really looking forward to it! So, ladies hurry up - places are limited!

I found Sufia to be warm and friendly. I was very impressed by her house. The children's play areas are very tidy and it's bright and airy. All the toys and books are very nicely organised and there's plenty of space for the kids to play.
Although my son has been going to Sufia's only briefly, I can see that he's learnt to do a few things independently. She's taught him to put his shoes on and get his jacket off all by himself which is quite an achievement for my son. I found Sufia to be really good with regard to teaching good habits to kids.
I would definitely recommend Sufia. The quality of her set-up is definitely outstanding.

When I had to leave my 1 year old to go back to full time work 2 years ago I was extremely anxious (!) and after reviewing all the nurseries in my local area decided I wanted a more homely environment to leave him in.
Sufia not only provides a safe haven for all the children she cares for but ensures daily activities are set so you can be sure your little one is learning and developing according to their age - getting the best of both worlds.
Sufia offers excellent value for money and the personal service received by the children and the parents from her is outstanding so if you are going back to work soon and worried about who will care for your child, get in touch with Sufia without delay!

My son has been with Sufia since he was 6 months old. Sufia has a real passion for working with children which is reflected in the activities she does with them and the way that she embraces them. Her whole family have embraced my son as part of their family! All the children in her setting are well behaved and happy........you really couldnt ask for better childcare, its like a home away from home!

Sufia has been looking after my son since he was 11 months old...he's now six! My son was totally comfortable from that first day, and still enjoys going to Sufia, although full time school means less playing time at Sufia's. :)
From that first day that I left him with Sufia I have always had complete peace of mind, Sufia has given him the best care I could possibly ask for, and he has bonded very well with the whole family.
I really can't say much more as it has all been said by the other reviewers, all I will say is I'm so glad I found Sufia when I did!

Sufia looks after my youngest son who is just over 1 yrs old. She is professional, offers a welcome back and asks for emergency contacts and the legal preamble that is required i.e. medical information etc. She is most important of all nurturing, plays with the children and my son seems happy there. He has been there a month and she has handled the transition/settling period well with my son as well as ourselves, the parents! He has activities to keep him busy and the other children are already fond of him as the baby of the group. She maintains a small group of children of 6 so there are other children for him to play with as he is used to his other brothers and sister at home. She is in high demand and I had to book her around 8 mths in advance especially since she was ofsted inspected and achieved an outstanding. I would recommend her highly, your child will be safe and taken care of.

My 4 year old son goes to Sufia 5 days a week since September .She is very warm and affectionate and my son is very happy with her.
Sufia is really flexible and is able to take my son for extra sessions when I have needed her .My son was always very reluctant to eat fruits and vegetables but since he started with Sufia his eating habits have really changed. He is willing to try different foods and has fruits and vegetables everyday. The credit for this goes to Sufia .She pays a lot of emphasis on good eating habits and ensures that children are provided with good nutritious food .I cannot thank her enough for all that she has done for my son.
I am confident to recommend Sufia to any parents who are looking for a trustworthy childminder providing a safe and caring environment for their children. My son will miss her a lot when he starts full time school later this year.

When I started looking for a childminder for my daughter I went across few profile, but Sufia’s one was so good that I decided to contact her. She replied really quickly and efficiently to my request and questions.
She offered me to meet her on a Saturday morning, at her home, when I passed the door, I knew already that I liked Sufia, she and her lovely family has been really welcoming and made us feel comfortable. My daughter was really relaxed in Sufia’s arms from the minute she took her. Sufia is someone really organized; she had all the information needed on folders, it allowed me to go through and know more about her work and qualifications. Her husband and daughters are really lovely, on this first meeting I really felt the family atmosphere I was looking for Liyu.
For me leaving my daughter to a childminder has been really hard emotionally and Sufia really helped me through that, she has been really patient and lovely towards me and always listen my concern and questions. I really feel that Sufia and I are working as a team around my daughter’s needs. I can see that my little girl is really happy and she discover news things everyday such a new food taste or new games.
The house is really clean and organized, the garden is lovely and I can’t wait for the nice weather to come back in order for my little one to go and play outside.
Sufia’s daughters always interact with Liyu and look after her too.
Sufia is a lovely childminder and I highly recommend her.
I’m going to work with a peace of mind regarding my daughter and that’s the most important for me! Thank you Sufia !
