My two year old son Leon has been with Sophie two days a week for a year now and I can honestly say he loves it there. She's not just an absolutely amazing childminder who goes above and beyond for the children in her care, but she's just as amazing as a person, a loving, caring, funny, and supportive parent who treats the children as her own and us parents as close friends. She's always keeping us up to date with what Leon gets up to during the day, sending us reassuring pictures and videos, planning fun and educational activities, telling us what he's eaten and how much, and keeps track of his development and what he might need extra help with. We only speak Swedish to Leon at home, but this has not been an issue at all for Sophie who rather embraces that and also our culture by trying to incorporate not just ours but as many cultural activities as she can in the kids' learning. Leon has also made so many friends while staying with Sophie, not just the other children but her own two wonderful boys who absolutely adore Leon, play with him after school, celebrated his birthday with him, and cuddle up with him on the sofa at the end of the day. They keep telling me Leon is like a part of their family, and it warms my heart! So all in all, Sophie is truly the best childminder I could have hoped to find, Leon has grown so much in her care and he's so comfortable with her and her family. Her home is full of fun toys and every day she plans various activities for them: fun crafts, messy play, garden fun, baking, reading stories together, she prepares home cooked meals twice a day, and Leon always comes home smiling, tired but happy, with something he's made that day. I couldn't praise Sophie enough, and we'll try to stay with her for as long as we can. :)
