Ferdous looked after our son for almost 1.5 years, from age 13 months to 2.5 years. We moved to Scotland and so sadly had to say goodbye.

Our son R thrived in Ferdous' care and within the home from home setting. I looked at nurseries as felt such a social pressure that nurseries are best, but I am so pleased I trusted my new mum instincts. From the moment my partner and I met Ferdous and visited her home, we knew we had found something special, a safe and experienced pair of hands.

Ferdous is so respectful in her communication with the babies and toddlers, she always puts their needs first and she is so knowledgeable about child development, I learned a lot from her.

Our son learned so well too, in particular she supported and guided him in his social behaviour, he is so settled and plays so well with other children, we can't take credit for this as this comes from his time with Ferdous and her guidance.

Ferdous is an excellent communicator and highly organised, she runs her business so smoothly.
R was so happy in her care, always settled and calm at pick up and settled in quickly too. He talked about her and his little friends when he came home.

Ferdous also offered opportunities for indoor and outdoor play and community visits out daily.

As a new mum I was extremely nervous about returning to work, leaving my son in childcare. One thing I will always be thankful for is how Ferdous supported me and showed such understanding of my feelings and anxieties.

R ate so well at Ferdous' even when his appetite wasn't so good at home. Ferdous cooked nutritious meals daily.

Ferdous was also knowledgeable and observant around both child health issues and infection control.

If you are undecided between nursery and childminder, I can say that for our family, deciding to send R to Ferdous was the right decision and am so pleased R had such a steady attachment to Ferdous, assistants and her family, as this is more important than anything else, in my view.
