We will miss you all!

Rebecca has been looking after my daughter for 4 days a week since little one was 14 months old. My daughter absolutely loves Rebecca’s setting and has thrived there; she’s learnt so many new skills, she comes home every day with new words and she’s always beaming from ear to ear when I collect her at the end of each day. Rebecca ensures the children are exposed to a wide range of activities each day, to build on their gross motor skills, and I have realised that the setting is far more stimulating for my daughter than I could provide her at home everyday (were I not working).

Rebecca supported us brilliantly through the transition into her care; having been used to only being with my husband & I throughout lockdown, I thought my little one would struggle to settle with new people. Rebecca’s expertise in childcare and in attachment theory helped us navigate this. Now the only one who struggles with the separation is me! ;)

Rebecca has a wonderful approach with the children. She navigates conflict resolution with the children in a very gentle way; supporting each child through big feelings and keeping the parents informed throughout. She’s a great communicator with parents and always takes on board parents’ preferences around food etc.

I first met one on Rebecca’s assistants on her first day on the job, which coincided with my little girl’s settling in sessions, and it’s been lovely to see Theodora grow and blossom in the role. Rebecca’s own children are also great to be around, and they’ve both formed a really sweet friendship with my daughter.

We are now moving out of the area, and that’s the only reason I’d ever remove my daughter from this setting. If we were staying locally, I’d happily keep my little one in Rebecca’s setting until school age.

We can’t thank Rebecca, her family and her assistants enough for the care and love they have shown to our little girl. We met with a lot of childminders during our search so I can say with confidence that Rebecca is head & shoulders above the rest!

Kind Thoughtful & Caring

Rebecca looked after my 2 sons (4 & 7) after school for a last minute 2 weeks when my partner and I had a sudden shift in work commitments.

She and her husband provided a safe warm place for them to go with a variety of fun activities for after school.

She was thoughtful about my boys’ needs and made sure the activities suited their conflicting yet simultaneous needs for movement and calm after school!

My youngest son is a sensory seeker and as a result can have big feelings and find it hard to wind down. Rebecca and her husband listened to us and what we know works for him, and also found new ways to help him settle/manage his need for movement and worries.

Amazing!

Rebecca is absolutely wonderful! She is incredibly warm and caring and clearly passionate about her job. Our LO took to her straight away and settled in with no trouble at all, including happily going down for a 2 hour nap every day! He always has such fun - muddy walks in the wood, cooking homemade pizza, planting spring bulbs or learning phonics with a bag little animals and matching letters. She is never short of fun ideas for learning. We get little updates and photos throughout the day which is so lovely. A true Mary Poppins! I would not hesitate to recommend her.

Thanks for your reflections on our days Caroline. It’s fun to read back and think, oh yeah, we do get up to some good mischief!! Also I appreciate being able to see T growing up at school now, and that the boys’ friendship remains strong.

My girls have had great fun times with Rebecca. She's always out and about with the kids, and makes sure everyone is having a good time as well as well cared for.
Rebecca is also experienced with cloth nappies and elimination communication in case of interest.

Kind and gentle childcare

Rebecca has looked after both our children on and off for several years. We are always impressed with how kind she is and her enthusiasm is infectious - the children adore her!
