Met April, on Friday she spent a few hours with the children as a introduction. We then agreed she would start the week after next, we then scheduled a few bookings for the this week, I scheduled my week around April’s availability, including her collecting my daughter from childminders this morning and taking my daughter and son to play groups etc...

Unfortunately April then changed her availability the night before her scheduled booking with my children, which to be fair her availability was absolutely fine with me as I only wanted someone Ad Hoc, as she made this change in hours, I did say I’m happy to accommodate the change, but going forward need reliability and consistency for the children, having said this, April sent a text to say she feels she can’t commit anymore, as she feels it will be too much with Uni work! To say I am disappointed is a understatement, she’s a lovely girl... but again unreliable, I asked her if she can work a weeks notice to give me time to sort childcare else where, which she did not agree to. She also stated she has anxiety, which I wasn’t aware of, I empathise, but bottom line is, I need ad hoc childcare which April agreed to, and its a shame as she was introduced to my children!

She also said in her texts, she doesn’t have the time to message me back and fourth! This is someone who’s studying to be a primary school teacher, I find it shocking that some people conduct themselves this way, when we are dealing with children who we all know need security and stability.

Nice girl, but I think if you want reliability, best to book else where.
