Hannah became a member of our family just over a year ago, yes family as this is how we see her. I was pregnant with our third child during lockdown with no friends or family close by or able to travel to help us when our child was born. To further complicate matters I knew that I would not be able to pick up our middle child as a result of the caesarean delivery.

Hannah came into our lives and our two boys; one then 5 years old with an ASD diagnosis and the other 11 months old, very quickly took to her. She was able to keep both entertained and engaged for hours. With our eldest she successfully de-escalated meltdowns in an efficient manner and was able to engage him in activities he refused to engage in with his 1:1 in a main-stream school.

When our daughter was born she took the boys to the shop to choose some flowers, a present for their new sibling and they made a welcome home banner, it was such a lovely surprise. We had complications after the delivery and Hannah was happy to stay longer than the agreed time. Hannah welcomed any feedback on how she could improve on her service although this was not needed as she was doing a fantastic job.
If I could employ her permanently I would, she is an asset to any family looking for good care for their children.
