My Summary

My Experience

I volunteered at the St George’s nursery in Edinburgh for 6 months, where I was shadowing the nursery teachers and playing with the children, as well as helping them with their meals.

Furthermore, I took part in a paired reading scheme, throughout which I was supporting a child with their reading and giving them extra support outside of class time. Therefore, I would be happy to help children with their homework and reading if this is needed.

During my time at school, I took the opportunity to be a form prefect for a Primary 6 class. During this time, I had to and maintain a positive atmosphere and keep the class occupied by playing games or doing activities.

Both these experiences taught me how to engage well with and support children of ranging ages.

Additionally, I am highly organised, reliable, and capable of managing household tasks, ensuring that the home remains a positive and orderly space, while potentially taking some pressure off parents.

Highers - four A’s, two C’s
Advanced Highers - two A’s

Currently studying BSc Psychology at the University of Glasgow

I am very flexible in when I can work and would be happy to alter my availability to suit the family.
