The most wonderful home away from home for our son
Our son (currently 17 months) has been going to Amanda and Peter since November 2020 now. It was important to us that Austin felt safe and happy wherever he went. Well, he gets that in spades at Amanda and Peter's: Amanda gives him all of the hugs and showers him with love, he's fed brilliantly, and you can tell that they have a genuine love for children, it's lovely!
I love that it's run from Amanda and Peter's house. I really believe it helps Austin feel at home, rather than a nursery classroom type setting. They've just bought the children new play equipment for their garden too - they're devoted! They also go out, whenever the weather permits, to the beach and local parks. It's honestly just lovely. It makes me so happy to know that Austin is so well looked after when I have to be away from him - sometimes I go to pick him up and he and Amanda are just having a little snuggle on the sofa. ❤️
On top of all of that, they do endless activities whilst there, especially for any special occasions: Christmas, Easter, Mother's Day etc. They even bought all of the children an Easter egg and a Christmas present - it's a house filled with love. You won't find anywhere more loving for your child to attend.
Lastly, they're so accommodating! As a primary school teacher myself, I often find that timings change last minute. Amanda and Peter are so flexible with regards to having Austin for longer periods of time. He's also only booked in for term time, but if I need a day or 2 during the holidays, they'll always check if they can have him for me.
I wouldn't send Austin anywhere that I didn't think he felt comfortable, and I certainly wouldn't recommend anywhere that I didn't feel strongly about, but I can say, wholeheartedly, that Amanda and Peter (and the other adults they have working with them - Sasha and Amanda's mum) are absolutely marvellous. Austin's so lucky to have got a place there. I'll be forever thankful that he started his time away from me at a home away from home. Thankyou all!
