My daughter started with Kerry at around 11months old, at first I was a little apprehensive as she was still so young but we had visited Kerry before and left my daughter for the odd morning building up to full time, I soon saw that there was no need to worry as Kerry does so much with the children and does a lot towards their development and encourages them all the way. Wether it is in her home or out and about visitng children centres, libraries and trips to the farm/park etc. Now my daughter is a nearly 3 years old and she comes home with things she has learnt and made all the time.
Kerry keeps me up to date on our daughters progress, and keeps a log of all her activities. Kerry and her family always make us feel welcome. Kerry is very understanding and flexible especially when dropping off and picking up. There has been a few times that I was unable to pick up my daughter and a famiky member has to. If Kerry has not yet met this family member she has excellent and security procedures in placed.
My son will be starting with Kerry too when I return to work, he will be 7months old and I have no hesitation sending him. As I know that Kerry provides first class care in an excellent setting.
I'm glad I have found such a caring childminder as Kerry and really could not ask for any more from her. I would highly recommend.
Kerry has been looking after our daughter since late 2011, when she was about 9 months old. She has provided and warm, caring and stable environment for her to develop as well as have fun.
Kerry is always taking her and the other children out to groups and activities, helping my daughter learn and develop social skills through play. I like the fact that Kerry networks with other childminders and organises days out.
Her family are very welcoming and have a great rapport with the children she looks after. Kerry is also extremely flexible and has been incredibly helpful with regards differing drop off/ pick up times.
I will always get regular feedback of what my daughter has done throughout the day and she will let me know in advance of any trips out.
Kerry is a very down to earth child minder who will give your child a home from home setting. Their family dog Harley is also a great asset-my daughter has been taught not to be scared of dogs due to the excellent way they have integrated the dog into their family home.
I would definitely recommend Kerry as a childminder; she is certainly someone who you can rely on. (Oh and lastly, she can have almost 100% credit for successfully potty training my daughter too-her knowledge of children meant she knew when it was 'time'!)
My daughter has been going to Kerry's since she was 18 months old (September 2010), and I am so pleased to have found such a reliable, flexible and caring childminder.
I have no worries about leaving my daughter in the morning, as I know she will have a day packed with activities (whether it be playgroups, baby gym, library visit, run arounds at the park, cooking, gardening) and she is always excited to tell me what she has been up to during the day. Kerry also provides a diary stating what she's eaten, how long she slept, what they've been up to and whether my daughter had any likes or dislikes that day. It's brilliant to be able to have some much detail about her care.
Kerry is exceedingly reliable, and has a very welcoming household (other family members included!). It is a safe environment with plenty of stimulation and adherence to the Early Years Foundation Stage. Kerry will also tell me if she has any concerns about my daughter's development, as well as praising her when she exceeds.
Kerry is also great at putting children (and nervous parents!) at ease, taking into account any concerns you may have. She has a very caring nature, and children warm to her immediately.
I have no hesitation in recommending Kerry as a superb childminder who goes above and beyond the call of duty.
Kerry has been childminding my son since June 2009 when he was only 7 months.
I have been happy with the care that he has received and the great progress he has made whilst in Kerry’s care. Kerry’s home is always welcoming and my son has great fun playing with all the toys available and with Kerry’s children. My son became part of the family from the beginning and settled in very well. Beyond all this though, it is Kerry’s warm and friendly approach which made my decision to have her care for him.
She provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor time. I know he has recently enjoyed a swimming outing, picnics in the park as well as going to soft play, feeding the ducks and picking his own vegetables.
When he is sad, hurt or feeling under the weather I know that he feels happy to be comforted by Kerry and I am confident that she can administer either first aid or medication following all the correct procedures and completing the necessary records to ensure his health and safety.
Kerry completes a weekly diary detailing what he has done each day. From this I have a complete picture of his whole day including what he has eaten and all his activities. This helps me to feel involved with his care.
All in all I am happy with the level of care he receives and I’m certain that being in such a positive and happy environment is helping him develop into a confident and self assured little boy.
I would absolutely recommend Kerry as a great and reliable childminder.
