I found Laura through this website, she was and still is very approachable. She looked after my daughter when we first moved to the area from Kent, and actually helped us settle in!
She looked after my daughter for 2 years before starting school, and was able to cater for her needs very well and was flexible with her time.
Our twins will be starting with her in September and I know they are looking forward to spending time with her and the other minded children after already having many settling in sessions previously.
I have found Laura very competent, friendly and professional, and would and have recommended her to friends and family.
Trusted this lady with my 6mth old baby. 1st few months he loved going. He started behaving oddly. Would scream as soon as he heard her doorbel & would desperately cling to me. She told me this sudden change was due to "object permanence" & against my gut I put my fears aside. Things got worse. He developed a fear of being strapped into car seat & pushchair. I had to know what was going on & bought a recording keyring & attached to his baby bag. 9hrs of recordings I'd be happy to let anyone listen to. It's difficult to hear. I'd not actually heard him cry like this myself it was gut wrenching. I did aak her how long have you let my baby cry & she flatly lied & told me she didn't, unaware of the evidence in my possession. I had to take 8weeks off work to build his confidence back up & he wouldn't go with anyone for months & months. I feel so so guilty. We have to trust these ppl & for her to have hurt him in this way has impacted our entire family. As you can see on paper she seems lovely. I am still unsure what action to take with what i have recorded. Disgusting. My little boy was such a trusting, happy little soul before she neglected him & let him scream his heart out for prolonged periods of time. Another concern is I believe she has more children than she's legally allowed. More than a few times I'd collect him & count 8 or 9 kids in the living room with several being v young. She always said she had a "helper" yet this woman was rarely there. Something is very wrong here, please don't send your baby to her. Maybe older kids she's good with. My sister is a nurse &started sending her 2 & 3 Yr old to her. The 3half Yr old said that when my baby was there he was crying a lot & the 2yr old didn't want to go. This was my experience & I want to share to possibly prevent anyone else going through what we have
Laura was a childminder for my 10-year-old daughter, who just needed someone to keep her company evenings I worked late. But Laura was friendly, flexible and very kind, accepting my daughter into her household as if she were a friend of her daughters. She is an absolute professional, and genuinely cares for the children in her care.
