Our experience with Lorraine as our son’s childminder was very positive. Very quickly she established a bond with our son and was able to figure out how to soothe and care for him. She had structured, yet flexible approach to things and we felt assured he was being cared for. It felt as if we were dropping him off at a family member’s home. We really enjoyed seeing him trying out new experiences, such as museums, parks, the zoo and other social meet ups. The pictures she would send during the day were always great. Overall, we are thankful to have found her locally and highly recommend as a dependable and caring childminder. Had to move out of the area and we all miss her very much!

Our son has been with Lorraine since he was 9 months old, he is now almost 2 years of age and we could not have wished for better childcare. Lorraine is amazing we and our son adore her. We cannot recommend her highly enough.
Lorraine creates a very loving and safe environment for the children with clear boundaries and she teaches the children good manners too. Every day Lorraine takes the children out for activities like going to the park, playgrounds, the zoo, music groups, etc. Our son loves his time with her and the other children.
Lorraine is very experienced and has an incredible insight into child development stages and we really appreciate her advice and guidance. We also really appreciate her flexibility and clear communication. She really is an outstanding childminder!

My son Gabriel, husband and I have been part of the 'family' with Lorraine since Gabriel was 4.5 months old. What Lorraine provides is more than just childcare but an environment for children to grow and be nurtured but with firm boundaries. As first time parents with both immediate families abroad, the close relationship we have built with Lorraine has been a huge comfort for us as well. It's also really lovely to see the bonds Gabriel has built with the other children in her care. The daily photographs is a real highlight of the day.
Gabriel has thrived in Lorraine's care and slowly increasing his days and time has allowed for a very smooth transition for us all. He now protests when its time to leave!
I also really value the personal advice, feedback and guidance Lorraine offers and as a self-employed parent working in an unpredictable industry I'm so grateful for the flexibility and understanding Lorraine offers. She's absolutely brilliant.

My little boy has been looked after fantastically by Lorraine over the past 2 years. She is super caring and incredibly experienced. My little boy loves his time with her and the other children. Lorraine is 100% reliable and very easy to communicate with - I can't recommend her highly enough!

My daughter Vega has been with Lorraine since she was 1 years of age and she (now 3) continues currently on Thursdays. I cannot rate Lorraine high enough. She instils kind yet firm boundaries with the children. She is wise, clever and she has a great sense of humour that actually helps the kids to appreciate and develop being funny as well. It also helped me to loosen up a bit too!
The children learn to care and look out for one another the older 3 year olds helped Vega to walk and now Vega delights on helping the younger ones. They learn to share things, eat together and play. My daughter eats more for Lorraine than I could ever manage to feed her. Lorraine’s fabulous group of kids develop their first social skills together. Lorraine has a particular quality of always allowing the children to express themselves, encourages them to speak slowly so she fully understands and clarifies situations fairly. Even when we go on holiday Vega misses Lorraine and shares funny stories about the other kids.
Lorraine spends most of the day out at the park, playground, Heath/ o’ clock clubs and she takes the kids to the other places i.e Zoo and Transport Museum as well.
Above all Lorraine has phenomenal insight into the children’s qualities and developmental challenges and she is always supportive. She articulates in one sentence what I might have been trying to understand for a month. Lorraine is always flexible with arrangements or taking Vega for extra days.
Her set up is unique as the small group of kids come to Lorraine’s home, a rare find these days. I guarantee you will not find anyone like Lorraine in Hampstead. I can only say Lorraine, her group of kids, her set up and Vega’s happiness whilst in her care is absolutely brilliant!

We have had our son Jack with Lorraine since he was five months old. He is now 3/12/. We and he absolutely adore her. Lorraine is a friend, a teacher and a co-parent all rolled into one. She runs a well organized house and our son is very happy. My child has impeccable manners thanks to Lorraine. She is honest in her assessments about our child but also discrete when it comes to childhood firsts.
Lorraine is laid back but also always keeps an open ear about any concerns I have regarding my son. She usually has children of similar ages and my son has grown up with a lovely companion that we refer to as his "girlfriend".
We are sad to be moving on from Lorraine and have nothing but the best to say and recommend about her.

Lorraine looked after our son from eight months until we moved out of London when he was 2 1/2. We think that she is an outstanding childminder: planning exciting activities and outings, providing a fun and caring environment and being extremely flexible if the inevitable work commitments change. She is firm but fair with the kids and they know exactly where they stand with her. More importantly though our son absolutely loves her, as far as he is concerned she is one of the family and he always talks about her, the other children she looks after, and what he did during the day at her house. This has all made going back to work a lot less difficult than it could have been! We can't recommend her highly enough.

The moment I walked into Lorraine's warm and loving home, I knew immediately that it was going to be the right place for my daughter. It had such a happy atmosphere and Lorraine is so experienced and calm.I returned to work when she was seven months and never had one moment's worry, as my daughter was so excited about being there and came back full of beans each day. If we had not relocated to the other end the country, I would have been delighted for my daughter to stay there in such a lovely environment ; a place where she got to play games, be in the open air in the summer and learn skills. I cannot praise Lorraine highly enough.

Lorraine Fox is an outstanding Childminder in every respect. She looked after my daughter from 6 months for 3 years and if I had not given up work she would be the only person I would trust to look after my son. She is the next best thing to a parent of grand parent looking after your child. As I don't have family in London, leaving my daughter with Lorraine meant that I never had to worry about her and everytime I picked her up, my daughter was smiling so much I went to work happy.
Lorraine Fox ensures that children develop in a safe, caring and loving environment. She instills confidence and social awareness. My daughter developed social, behavioural and educational skills that are commented and complimented on today by her school teachers and this is because Lorraine gave her such a great start.
I always recommend Lorraine to anyone looking for a Childminder because quite frankly there is no one better. My daughter still says, "I miss Lorraine" and it has been two years since she left Lorraine's care. That speaks volumes.

I would recommend Lorraine unreservedly to any prospective parents and would agree with all the above reviews. I have a very challenging job in a local education authority and having Lorraine to care for my children made going back to work far less stressful as I knew that they were always happy and enjoying their day. Lorraine was my daughter's full time Childminder for 3 years, starting at age 6 months until she started nursery. Lorraine then collected her after nursery and the following year after school. When our son was born Lorraine also looked after him from the age of 8 months. Lorraine was brilliant with both children, meeting all of their needs at every stage of their development. They are quite different characters but it was clear that they both felt very happy, loved and safe in her care. Lorraine is very hardworking and highly professional and never had a day off sick during all the years she looked after my children.
My children are at school now but still see Lorraine regularly on Hampstead Heath and they are always so happy to have a catch up and a hug. One of the friends my daughter made during her time with Lorraine is still her best friend now, despite them being at different schools, and they often reminisce about happy times at Lorraine's house and the trips they enjoyed.
