I couldn't recommend Lorraine, Denise and the wider team enough!
Our son has been in their care from the early age of 11 months to 3 and a half years and our experience has been absolutely great. The level of care and the whole environment is second to none.
From day 1 our son Liam loved going to Lorraine's house. He started as a small baby and developed into a grow up toddler there. He learnt so many new things and made so many friends, he used to come home singing new songs , or with a new crafting or painting and talking about how much fun he had throughout the day. The day is usually filled with so many activities, going to the park or to the library, in the big outdoor open space playing with the toys or doing some fun activities indoor.
Lorraine kept us regularly updated on how our son was doing during the day and we have always felt so safe to leave him in her care.
She has always been very flexible in accommodating our requests or last minute change of schedule, and this saved us in so many occasions! Lorraine was also really helpful when I asked her for advices , for example potty training. She genuinely cares for the children and their wellbeing, and so does the rest of the team.
We have been so so blessed in finding them, and so lucky to have the opportunity to bring Liam to Lorraine for almost 3 years.
I couldn't recommend them enough!
Sadly our son has now moved to nursery now, and we will miss them a lot!!
Thank you Lorraine, Denise and the team for making Liam's past 3 years, the best we could have ever hoped for!!xxx

Lorraine, Denise, Alfie and the wider family are second to none! Our baby girl went 4 then 5 days a week to see these guys from around 11 months old for around a year, and she absolutely flourished within their care. She learned to walk, play, interact with the other children, and so many songs and books covered we were always astonished with what she was coming home to share with us! Her eating improved and her confidence too.
They kept well to our routines and requests, and provide a superb environment for all the children. The other parents couldn’t be more complimentary either at pick up and drop off.
They really make the best of what Islington have to offer, attending library story time, childminder stay and plays, local parks etc. They also gave a huge yard outside the house for playing when it’s good weather too.
We had our daughter in London with no family in the country, and Lorraine and her team very quickly became our London family, I don’t know what we would have done without them.
Sadly we have had to move away, however if we are ever back there isn’t anyone else I would like to leave my child with!

Lorraine, Denise and team have created such a happy, positive environment for all the kids who go there. Our 1 year old son has been thriving at their childcare since his first day there. He is so happy to see them every day. They are so attentive to his needs and always so helpful with us with advice and input for his development. They create a fantastic range of activities to engage the kids on a daily basis and also keep us regularly updated about how our son is doing throughout the day.
We cannot recommend them highly enough. We trust them hugely. And they are a highlight in our son's daily life.

Our little girl Grace was looked after by Lorraine, Denise and Alfie from age 9 months to 2 years and 3 months. To say we were sad to leave is an understatement! From day one Grace LOVED going to Lorraine's house. I have watched her develop from a baby to a toddler and come home singing new songs and saying new words that clearly she has learned from the amazing team. We started on 4 days a week and increased to 5 days a week full time and I honestly could not have picked a better childminding team. I definitely think they are the best choice for younger babies and toddlers as it is a true home from home environment with set routines for playtime, meals and naps. I will be keeping in touch with Lorraine, Denise and Alfie for babysitting requests and just generally because they felt like an extended family. Thank you Lorraine for all these months together!

My son was cared for by Lorraine, Denise and Alfie for 2 and a half years, from when he was 1 years old. As we’ve just moved out of London we very sadly had to say goodbye to them.
They are an amazing, loving, friendly team and my husband and I feel so lucky to have found them. They are genuinely interested in children and their development and this shines through so brightly. Lorraine was also really helpful when I sought her advice about things such as toilet training and frequent night wakings. Her flat is a great play space - clean, organised, safe, with a good range of creative age-appropriate toys.
My son can be a bit of a tricky sleeper and eater and they managed this really well. They were very flexible in accommodating his/our needs and I always felt confident he was being really well looked after. Lorraine reassured me and updated me during the day when I was worried about him if he was under the weather or hadn’t slept well. The online communication system she uses works well and she provides the right amount of detail, sometimes adding great photos of what the children have got up to during the day.
My son made friends and talked enthusiastically about the things he got up to during the day with them, particularly playing with different toys in Lorraine’s home with his friends there, and playing out in the square with things like the mud kitchen.
My son, at 3 and a half, has started at nursery now and I feel he’s had such a good grounding being with Lorraine and her family beforehand.
We can’t thank you enough and miss you lots xxx

Our son Kit has been going to Lorraine, Denise and Alfie's for a year, and has grown and developed enormously in that time.
He constantly surprises me with new things he has learned and new words which they have taught him.
They provide a safe and homely environment for the children they look after, as well as taking them out on daily activities. You can tell they really care about the children, and build up a great rapport with every one of them.
We are extremely sad to be leaving but we are moving out of London. If we were staying - Kit would be there until school and beyond! We will miss them greatly, and we will find it very difficult to find another childminder or nursery to live up to their standards.

my son has been with lorraine, denise & the team for two years, we are due to move out of london & want to take them all with us.
we couldn't have asked for more from a childminder. the team, the setting, the home from home, the outstanding care & support, not to mention the flexibility & willingness as well as ability to accommodate needs & dietary peculiarities are outstanding.
my son loves going, so much so he often forgets to say goodbye, the activities are plentiful & varied, the skills he has learnt are numerous & the intimate setting is the perfect nurturing environment with a close group of children to enable children to develop & bloom.
i really cannot rate lorraine, denise & the team highly enough - maybe 150 out of 5? we will be very sad to give up our space & are sad our daughter will not benefit from such outstanding care.

Lorraine came highly recommended and from our first introduction surpassed all our expectations.
Our daughter Alexis spent 16months, from the age of 1yr, in Lorraine and Denise’s care. As a first time mum leaving their child with a stranger for the first time I was struck by how sympathetic Lorraine was to my needs as well as my daughters. Lorraine’s gradual settling process put both Alexis and I at ease and enabled me to return to work confident that Alexis was happy in Lorraine’s setting.
Lorraine is punctual, reliable and very accommodating. She never let us down, and always gave substantial notice for any holidays taken.
Lorraine and family, Denise, Chelsea and Alfie, all have a natural ease with the children, a great energy and boundless enthusiasm. The children are constantly entertained with activities in both the morning and afternoon. I liked the fact that they didn’t always do the same each week, of course they have their favourites but they are not afraid to mix it up and try out difference groups for new experiences for the children.
I wanted a “home from home” environment for Alexis and that is how best I can describe Lorraine’s setting. Home cooked meals for lunch and dinner, plus nutritious snacks. If Alexis simply needed to be hugged all day I knew one of them would be more than happy to do just that. It warmed my heart to know Alexis was loved while I was away from her and she adored them!
We moved to a different borough, it broke my heart but it was too far to travel and we had to leave Lorraine. Had we not moved Alexis would have stayed with Lorraine until she went to school. We saw Alexis grow into a happy individual with Lorraine, any child lucky enough to spend time with Lorraine and her family will thrive. I have recommended Lorraine to friends and will continue to do so, as she is a fantastic childminder.

Our son Samuel went into Lorraine's care when he was 12 months old, since that time we have also had a daughter and now both children are cared for 3 days a week by Lorraine and her sister Denise. It has been a fantastic experience and i cannot recommend both Lorraine and Denise enough, it is with much sadness that we cannot transport them both with us when we move house in October!
Both Lorraine and Denise put 100% of their energy into the children in their care and provide a variety of fun and educational activities and seem to find something different to do every day - the park, the farm, library and stay and plays. The children also benefit form spending time with Lorraine's two daughters, who are a credit to her. I know Samuel in particular looks forward to schools out everyday!
Lorraine has always been totally reliable and also very flexible. In 2 and a half years i cannot remember a time when she was not able to look after our children on our timetabled days. I never worry about Samuel or Jocelyn when I am at work as i know that they will be having fun and being fed well.
We feel very lucky to have found her and are delighted to recommend both Lorraine and Denise:they are both wonders and we will miss them greatly.
