Bad reaction

Hello,

We posted an offer for a nanny and Laura contacted us. We are looking for a nanny 20 hours a week for which services we offer between 12 and 15 Pounds or even more depending on the person and training, certificates, etc.

We also offer accommodation if needed and we thought it could be a good arrangement to offer the nanny not to pay any rent and in exchange do some light household (not assume everything since we have extra help). Of course that was a separate thing from the nanny job, which would in any case be paid accordingly.

I acknowledge that I might have expressed myself incorrectly and that my words may have given a wrong impression, however Laura insulted me right away and blocked me directly without giving me the opportunity to even explain myself. She has also reported my profile to Childcare without letting me explain myself.

From this episode I have learnt that I must be very careful in the way I explain things and I am actually grateful that this has happened so that I can correct my words and clarify our offer better when we contact other nannies.

I use this space not to report anything bad about Laura but to be able to clarify myself and let this forum know what has actually happened and that we are a nice and honest family.

Thanks Maria for your review and for give me 4 starts rating, hope you find
the right nanny for you , I said no to your nanny job offer because you
offered me accommodation and free time in exchange for doing housekeeping
task for FREE,... so I was really surprised for that and my reaction
wasn't bad , just was like what you offer was no fair and wasn't for me,
so I kindly said to you no thanks .

You also didn't want to tell me how much is paid for and how many hours are
e week etc... so I thought it was very weird.

Just to let you know nannies can't do housekeeping task for free just in
exchange of accommodation and free time, and I just tried to explain you
that .

I respect all what the families required for each differents kinds of Nanny
jobs but yours wasn't for me, even I think it was very unfair asking for
that.... thats way I just hope you change your mind and never again make
that kind or proposal to any other nanny.
