After feeling nursery was not a suitable option for our 9 month old daughter, we managed to find Jo and knew right away she was just what we were looking for. We wanted our baby to have more one on one care rather than being in a room of 20 or so other children and she absolutely thrived. Being with a couple of other children under Jo’s care was wonderful for her development and she left to go to nursery at 3 with so much confidence in herself and her abilities.
When pregnant with our second child, Jo was an obvious choice for us and as with our daughter, he has absolutely thrived in her loving, home environment.
Both were always so happy to be there, with plenty of stimulation, whether that was dancing, singing, messy crafts being in the garden or going to the park to feed the ducks. Learning all about bugs and having butterflies in the garden have all been amazing activities which have really shaped their personalities. Jo is great at ensuring the children also work on skills around developing independence and it’s always lovely to see them come home and do things they have learned whilst in Jo’s care.
We’ve loved having Jo as our childminder and would absolute recommend her services. Having someone you can trust to take the best care of your child is more important than anything as any parent knows, and we always felt we could trust Jo 100%. It’s a huge weight lifter when returning to work!

Our first son went to Jo’s from 6 months, we couldn’t have asked for a more loving environment for him, he always had a big smile on his face when we arrived at Jo’s in the morning and he was so settled and happy. Under Jo’s care his speech developed rapidly, and he loved outings to the big park and to messy crafts. Jo also does lots of fun home activities - introducing the children to different topics - using her famous colourful trays.
Jo also made our son feel like part of her family, and he got to know her children (who were always so kind to him) which we thought was really nice.
When our second son was born we were so pleased that Jo had space for him, and our experience has been the same. His big smiles when he see’s Jo in the morning and the obvious love she pours into the fun activities she does with him.

When we moved house from Fulham to Greenwich we were looking for childcare for our baby girl. It was wonderful to find Jo to look after her – we have been so happy with her care. Jo is very kind and caring – you can see that immediately.
Our baby girl loved to go there and sometimes she even wanted to stay longer to play - it was definitely a home away from home.
During this time Jo helped our baby girl achieve several milestones from crawling to walking, from babbling to talking and counting 1,2,3. She regularly takes them to the library and Greenwich Park, she also has a garden, and they play outdoors as well.
They also play indoors with different toys and do creative activities.
She provided us with a diary and wrote information about what they have eaten (always home cooked), nap times and what activities (indoor and outdoor) they have been doing during the day.
We have been very lucky to meet her – we won’t hesitate to recommend Jo to any other parents.

Jo looked after our daughter for a few days a week over 14 months. In this time, Jo helped her with several milestones like crawling, walking and talking. She regularly attended Messy Crafts sessions at the library and played with a range of toys at her house. In the summer months, there was the use of a paddling pool and water activities in Jo's garden and in the springtime, there were caterpillars to watch turn into butterflies. Our daughter learnt a lot with Jo, notably she learnt numbers 1-10 and surprised us one day at home when she started counting! Jo accommodated the use of reusable nappies and the lunches we provided. She is a very kind and caring childminder that we are glad to have found.

When we started looking for childcare, our two priorities were that our son would be given lots of love and secondly, that he was happy in his environment and Jo has provided those things. In the year that my little one has been with Jo, he has never once cried when I dropped him off, in fact, he’s often squealing with delight because he loves being there so much. As a first time mum, leaving my child with someone else made me very anxious but Jo very much put our minds at rest. My son is a now confident, happy little boy who has clearly learnt a lot throughout his time with Jo. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jo to any other parents.

If anyone is looking for a childminder in East Greenwich area please get in touch with Jo! She was great with our little girl so I can't recommend her enough. Jo is very caring and warm person who truly loves working with children.
Our daughter started going to Jo full time since she was almost 9mo and from week 1 we could see the progress in her development. Every day she was ready and waiting for 'let's go to Jo'.
We had to relocate for work but I whish Jo could go with us!

Jo has looked after our children for nearly two years and we have been so happy with her care. She is professional and also kind, caring and really brilliant with the kids. She plays with them and has brought them on a long way educationally too. She has sent home a diary and provided information on what they be been up to, what they’ve eaten (which is always healthy and home cooked) and when they’ve had a nap. The children have always come home happy and full of stories about things they’ve done, places they’ve been to and people they’ve seen. They are active and happy and surrounded by love.
We have to change childcare arrangements due to work but if that hadn’t happened I would have quite happily sent my children to Jo until they left home! She is brilliant.
I can not recommend Jo highly enough.

Jo is a wonderful childminder and I couldn’t have hoped for any better. She is extremely kind, thoughtful and trustworthy. My little one simply adores her and has flourished in her care.
Jo organises a wealth of great activities and experiences tailored to the interests and development of each child and she offers a warm and caring family setting. I feel very lucky to have met her.

I was recommended to Jo through local nursery staff members in the Greenwich area. Jo was my first experience of childcare for my children and I was both apprehensive and nervous. However as soon as I met Jo and introduced my children to her, all my anxieties disappeared. Jo was fantastic at settling in my 1year old son and 3-year-old daughter. They absolutely adored both Jo and all her family, and it felt like a second home for them.
Jo was excellent at communication, and often sent updates with pictures as well as filling out a daily diary; which had information on food, nappy changes, play and nap times. I found this brilliant as I could see what my children were getting up to, being fed and their toilet habits.
All concerns and worries about my children e.g. Potty training, were met with enthusiasm and a plan on how to approach it. I’m very proud and extremely happy that Jo was able to potty train my son and give me tips on how to continue at home. My son also suffered with a severe peanut allergy which required epi pens. Jo was trained on how to use them, first aid trained, ensured her home was nut free and followed his care plan.
Jo always organised many trips such as visits to parks, farms, museums, the library and soft play. As well as having a range of different activities for the children to do at home and in the garden. I was always impressed by how much my children learned through play and loved all the crafts they brought home. My son who was with Jo from the age of 1, became a very fluent speaker fast. He could sing all the nursery rhymes, count to 20, recite the alphabet and write his name. My daughter also improved on her writing, reading and singing; as Jo constantly encouraged her with a gentle loving approach.
Jo always arranged termly catch ups to go through what the children had been learning, and it also gave us the opportunity to add input or suggest anything if we needed to. Holidays and absences were always scheduled in with as much notice as Jo could give us, which was always appreciated.
My children absolutely loved going to Jo’s everyday and would always run ahead of me eager to get there. The service Jo provided was exceptional and I felt so privileged to have such a loving and caring childminder. It was a real pleasure getting to know Jo and her family, and I’m so grateful for the time my children spent with her, before heading into full time school.

Jo was our first experience of childcare for our son. She started looking after him when he was 10 months old. As all parents are, we were anxious about leaving him with a ‘stranger’ while we went to work; but our fears soon disappeared when we saw how happy our LO was with Jo. Over the time our son has been with her, the Wrethams’ home has really become his second home. It is great that our LO has a second family that look after him, treat him as one of them, and take him on adventures.
Our LO has developed a lot while with Jo – he finally learnt to walk under Jo’s care, and his motor skills and speech really developed.
Jo has good communication, sending us pictures of our LO and writing in his daily diary. She gives us plenty of notice of holidays or absences. Jo also provides nutritious home-cooked meals for the children.
It has been a real pleasure getting to know Jo and we are really glad that she made our first experience of childcare an enjoyable one.
We are absolutely gutted that our LO will no longer be looked after by Jo – it is only happening because we are moving away from the area.
Any child looked after by Jo will be loved, cared for and encouraged to grow. We would highly recommend her to anyone.
