Barford Primary School is a community school school in Norwich. According to the latest government data, it has approximately 100 pupils and allows entry for children aged 4-11.
About Us
We are a small, friendly, rural school with a caring family ethos and strong links with the community. Most importantly, we strive to enable every child to achieve their full potential.
Barford Primary School is in the village of Barford, near Wymondham and Norwich. We are a feeder school for Wymondham High School and the majority of our leavers continue their education there; some other children go on to Wymondham College.

Our Childcare Provision
Barford School runs it’s very own out-of-hours childcare through its extended school day care known as FAB. This allows the school to be open from 8.00a.m to 6.00p.m.
Our aims are:
• To make our club genuinely accessible to all families with children attending Barford Primary School.
• To provide an opportunity for children to socialise out of school.
• To provide a range of creative, physical and play activities in a comfortable, familiar and safe environment.
• To involve parents and children in the development of an exciting club that is fun.
The club is available for children aged 4 to 12 years. We have places for 23 children at each session. The club follows the school term dates, this means the club will not be open on staff training days.
Our opening times are:
• Breakfast Club: 8.00am – 8.50am (children in Reception will be escorted to their classroom at 8.50am.
• After School Club: 3.15pm to 6pm (5pm on Fridays) - children in Reception will be collected from their classrooms at 3.15pm.
Our Playleader in charge is qualified in childcare and is assisted by a playworker who will either hold a childcare qualification or have previous childcare experience. The staff aims to provide care and promote opportunities for child centred play following guidelines and standards which are set out by OFSTED.
