I have been a Primary School Teacher for the last 25 years. My aim is to provide professional, high quality childcare within a warm, friendly & exciting learning environment. I will do this within a homely, caring & nurturing atmosphere.
I am able to provide your child with a superbly equipped playroom. This will be the base for a variety of high quality, purposeful learning experiences in all 7 areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
Your child will have use of the outdoor area in which they can expand their physical development & skills in all areas. We have use of the large kitchen so we can share healthy meals & develop lots of social skills.
Quiet time for younger children is essential & this we share in the lounge, sharing a book, listening to music or having a nap.
Knowle is a fantastic place to explore, with superb parks in Knowle & Dorridge, a local library, & age related play groups.
I am a very approachable person & I will make you & your child very welcome & comfortable in my home. I want your child to 'feel at home', I want your child to 'feel cared for' and I want your child to 'feel nurtured'.

My Experience
Although I have been a Primary School Teacher for 25 years my expertise lies within the Early Years, approximately 17 years. During this time I have opened a new Nursery in a Solihull school & developed a high quality curriculum for Nursery aged children, my knowledge of which is vast. I am able to assess your child on entry to my home using both incidental & detailed observations. From this I am able to plan activities specifically for your child, record their achievements in their own personal 'Learning Journal', containing photos, samples of work & notes. I will then devise their next steps for future learning in all areas.
The welfare of all children is paramount & my previous experience has embedded in me the importance of 'Safeguarding'.
Having worked in the Early Years for such a long time I know that good relationships with parents are crucial to your child settling into a new environment & providing me with skills & knowledge of your child. This partnership with parents is important to your child's development as I will make sure that you are involved daily with your child's achievements.
I have also worked with children with 'Special Educational Needs' & have developed individual learning plans to develop their skills.

Lisa has looked after our twins for nearly 3 years now, since they were 13 months old and we couldn’t recommend her more highly.
She is an incredibly kind and caring childminder who genuinely seems to love her job and love being with the children.
She works alongside her husband Garry to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for the children. Our twins have flourished in terms of their development and are confident being around and playing with other children.
Our boys have loved their time there and we feel very lucky to have been able to send them to Lisa.
