About Me
Little Ducks Childcare is a unique childcare setting, in Warley. It is run by two Accredited Ofsted Registered Childminders, Eleanor Adams and Sarah Preston, and blends the best of traditional Childminding with the best of Nursery care.
Together, we look after a small number of children between birth to 5 years during the day, and offer wraparound care to children from St. Thomas of Canterbury children primary school.
Children will be cared for in a loving and caring setting, and our limited numbers ensure that each child will receive plenty of individual attention and cuddles.
We take the children out on a daily basis, visiting playgroups, parks, and play areas. We often take our children on adventures such as days at the seaside, Southend Aquarium and local Zoos.
Siblings of different ages can be cared for together, making childcare easy for parents.
We are able to offer funded places for 3 Year olds, and eligible 2 year olds.
Our setting has a large area for indoor play, with lots of varied toys and resources, and a safe enclosed outside play area, laid with astro-turf for all weather play.

All practitioners hold a level 3 childcare qualification, paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, and have attended many other relevant training courses.

Sarah and Ellie run a fantastic business and I am so so glad our son has been with them for the last 3 years. We have used the before and after school care since our son started school, as well as using the fantastically diverse holiday care too. One of the main draws for us 4 years ago was that Sarah collected children from Holly Trees and Ellie from St Thomas meaning our son was socialised with more than a handful of other children and as an only child this has been so successful. There were enough children to feel like an after school club but it was not too big for a slightly more nervy child; as he was at four years old.
Many childminders are not able to get out and about much but Littleducks have two nine-seater mini buses meaning during the holidays the children are not based just at a home/base but go to parks beyond Brentwood, the beaches, sea life centre, museums and have proper day long adventures; like a holiday camp.
It has been such a happy time for us and it is with sadness that we are moving and he has grown up but I can happily credit some of his confidence and self worth firmly at the door of Littleducks. He has flourished under their care and we are really grateful for their friendship and care.
