My Summary
About Me
**Before you proceed, please be aware I am looking for a part-time job that would allow me to bring my daughter born August 2024. I would supply her food etc**
I am a confident, knowledgeable worker, dedicated to creating a stimulating, encouraging, safe atmosphere for each child's individual needs. I consider myself to be a hardworking, motivated and playful young adult. I have succeeded in achieving my BTEC Health and Social care Levels 2 and 3 qualification which is equivalent to a NVQ qualification.
I am also a highly interested in participating in a child’s development, which I proudly helped with my younger brother and helping him when needed! Loving children is what I love the most, I love caring for them and find them fascinating, and I am seeking further nanny work to continue doing what I love and extend my experience.
It is my biggest achievement to say that as of August 2024, I am now a mummy to a little darling girl called Aria.
It is extremely important when someone has strong skills to work with children. The main skills that I have that I think are important to be able to be around children is patience especially because it is the most up most importance as there are many things that children cannot understand why things are happening. I am also a trustworthy person that is willing to do everything I can to be able to be trusted by members of staff and also children and their parents. I am also a reliable person that rarely ever gets late. I love being on time! I am also an honest person although my intentions are not to hurt anyone at all. I am also willing to train and also update my knowledge!
During my eleven years plus of experience, I have developed strong skills in supporting young children, and I'm genuinely passionate about providing the best childcare and play experiences. I take pride in being able to handle difficult situations professionally.
Also pet friendly!
Love, love, love cooking!
Very crafty.
Fluent Portuguese and English.
My Experience
Work experiences:
2009 - Primary School for two weeks.
2013 - Community Centre 0 to 5 year olds for two weeks : during my two weeks there I connected with a family in which I was able to work with for a couple of weeks after that. It was with a 1 year old and his little 2 year old brother. My duties consisted of helping the mother whilst she did some chores, feed the children, bathe them, entertain them and also took them swimming! Unfortunately it ended with them because they moved to Italy (even though they asked me to go with and work at a nursery there)!
I haven’t been involved much in different areas. The only main area in which I have worked in, is based with children as it is my biggest passion ever. I would often get asked to babysit my mother’s bosses children and always help out.
Most recent first:
- June '20 - July '24
- Reference upon request
Ages: 5 & 3
I started with this incredible family when the eldest was still safe and warm in mummy's tummy! As you may realise through the dates, this was peak lockdown! What am amazing time that was. My responsibilities included: organising, cooking healthy meals for the eldest then later introducing food to the little one - combi fed, organising safe and fun outings, I did some overnight dates whilst parents were away, organising playdates, homework, reading, sort out uniforms, bathe and bed. I had a lot more but I feel like it would be overwhelming to put it all here! I left due to having a beautiful baby girl born August 2024.
- Feb '19 - May '20
Ages: 6, 3 & 1
Working from 7 till 7 my duties included breakfast, cooking lunch and dinner. Organising children's belongings (kitchen too). Working alongside other members of staff meant that working in a team and communicating was extremely important. I also set up and organised clubs for the children and take them to them.
- July '18 - December '18
Ages: 3 & 1
I only started with this familiy full time in July 2018. On the other hand, I was helping them on Fridays as I was employed Mon - Thurs with another family. When I first started, the eldest was 2 and the mother was pregnant of the little one. So I was involved in the babies life since she was born and had plenty of newborn duties. I was constantly taking them to clubs, parks, a lot of indoor learning especially with the eldest. I also bathed them and freshly cooked all of their meals introducing them to different ingredients every week. Part of my duties was also doing housework that involved the childred (laundry, change bedding etc).
- August '15 - July '18
Ages: 7 & 3
I started full time with this family in August 2015 when the eldest was 4 and the youngest was just born (I was in hospital with them). Although, I had been doing babysitting with the eldest ever since he was very little (my mother was their cleaner). This was the biggest opportunity I had as this gave me a huge amount of newborn experience and my responsibilites were imense. Both of th employers are doctors so a lot was expected which I felt like I have exceeded all of their expectations. My duties involved taking the eldest to school and the youngest to nursery when she was old enough. Whilst the youngest was at nursery, I was their cleaner 2 days a week which didn't only include housework regarding the children but the adults too. Fresh meals were cooked daily for the children and would take them out to different places and clubs regularly.
- November '14 - August '15
Ages: 13 & 10
This was a Mon - Thurs day job but it wasn't all day as the children were at school. I'd arrive in the morning and get them ready for school whilst the parents got ready for work. I would then take them both to school and go back to theirs and do all of the ironing for 2hrs then have the rest of the day free. Once it was time to pick them up, I would make my way to the school and collect them. Would make our way back home, do homework then get ready for clubs (swimming & tennis). Would also cook their meals and made sure they had baths daily and get them in their pyjamas so when parents arrived they were ready for bed!
- May '14 - November '14
Ages: 11 & 14
Although the eldest was 14, I was still extremely responsible for him and made sure he did all of his homework when he got in from school! This wasn't a morning job as I only started when I collected the youngest from school then take her home. Fresh meals were cooked every dinner time and also got them both to have baths and get them ready for bed. I would usually arrive a little earlier and catch up on their ironing.
OTHER SIDE EXPERIENCES:
- Worked at a hotel for a year.
- Experience at a cafe.
- Also did a lot of extra babysitting for my mum's employers especially as I was still in full time education
My Qualifications
I proudly applied to Saint Francis Xavier Sixth Form College. I have managed to achieve a distinction in Health and Social Care Level 2 (2011-2012) which gave me a big opportunity to pass onto level 3. Have finished studying Health and Social Care level 3 QCF which is equivalent to NVQ (2012-2014). I have also successfully passed my English GCSE in December 2012 with a grade C, which left me extremely proud.
First aid (expired - willing to do a new one).
