About Me
Hi, my name is Kate Grundy and I live in Ashton with my husband and two daughters aged 18 & 13.
Every child is welcome in my home. I offer a friendly, safe and secure home from home environment where your child can learn through play. Your child will be encouraged to develop and reach their full potential through a variety of activities and outings.
I live near a canal and Ashton park where we regularly visit to feed ducks and explore outdoor spaces. We attend local playgroups where your child will be able to develop their social skills. We also enjoy lots of messy play indoors and out, including painting, play dough and water play.
I promote healthy eating and lifestyles. All meals provided will be home cooked and nutritionally balanced.
I accept the 15/30 hr funding.
I also accept Tax free childcare vouchers.
The service I provide is for 0-4 yrs.
Ofsted graded Good.
My Experience
My experience in caring and working with children started with babysitting and then working in a factory creche as a teenager.
I also spent 3 years as an assistant ballet teacher for pre school children.
I was then employed as a volunteer in a living history Viking museum delivering an educational programme to primary school children.
I had the opportunity to work as a childminder's assistant and enjoyed it so much that I decided to become registered myself.
My Qualifications
I have completed the LCC childminding pre-registration workshops.
Safeguarding children level 1 & 2
Paediatric first aid qualification.
Food hygiene.
L2 Mental health and wellbeing in the early years.
I am also a member of the professional association for childcare and early years.
BA ( honours ) History & social science
My Availability
Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:30pm
full and part time places for 0-4 yrs
Term time and all year available
15/30 Free hrs funding for 2, 3 & 4 yrs accepted.
