I currently have availability for 2 children on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 7:00 am and 2:00 pm (term-time only). My ratios after 2:00 pm are full as I provide wraparound care for Gildredge House School children. However, I am planning to employ an assistant in the next couple of months, so my availability may change. Please get in touch to join my waiting list for any future spaces!
??? About Me
Hello! My name is Naomi, and I’m a mum to my lovely 10-year-old daughter. At home, we share our space with two friendly cats and a turtle that the children love to help feed. I’ve worked in education since 2006, holding a Level 3 in Childcare and Education and a Level 3 in Supporting People with Learning Disabilities.
I also have five years of experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) as part of the council’s disability team, where I held a management role. I’m passionate about child development, creating safe and nurturing environments, and helping every child thrive.
When I’m not working, I love exploring the outdoors and spend most weekends discovering new places with my family.
? My Childminding Services
For the past eight years, I’ve provided a before and after school childcare service from my home, conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from Gildredge House School.
Before & After School Care (Gildredge House School only):
Morning Club: Opens at 7:15 am, includes breakfast, and I drop children off at school.
After School Care: Runs until 5:30 pm (with 6:00 pm as a flexible option on some days), includes collection from school and a home-cooked meal.
I also offer nursery drop-offs and pick-ups for younger children, as well as care for children aged 0-5 years during the day. I regularly attend baby and toddler groups to encourage social development and adhere to Ofsted regulations under the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Holiday Care:
I provide school holiday care for children from any school, with opening times from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Full-Day Holiday Care: £40
Morning School Run: £5.50
After School Care: £5.50 per hour
Dinner: £2

My daughter (3-4 years) was very anxious to be anywhere but with mummy. After months of failing to settle at the local nursery, i found summerdowns- daughter settled immediately! Great home from home care amd she always came home woth stories to tell!

As a first time mum and leaving my daughter at only 6 months, with a complete stranger, to say I was nervous was an understatement! However, Naomi made me so relaxed, never judged me when I asked questions and is always so easy to talk to. My daughter loves Naomi and the environment at Summerdowns. I have no reservations in recommending Summerdown Childminding and can not speak highly enough of Naomi. From the first contact to the continued support, Naomi gives a first class service.
