About Me
My Name is Adele Farrell and I am a registered childminder. I have been childminding now for 20years. I am married and we have three children ages 26, 22 and 11 years. We have a Brown Cockapoo dog called Ayresleigh who is 1Yrs. We used to live in Purley but moved to West Coulsdon 16 years ago. We live just a walk away from both Coulsdon Town and Coulsdon South train stations and on the 463 bus route. We are an active family and like to all take part in sporting and charity events. I attend regular training to keep up to date with legislation, I am first aid trained specializing in paediatrics. I am enhanced DBS checked and I hold public liability insurance. I am a member of the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years(PACEY). I am part of PACEY Quality Assurance Network and am inspected by Ofsted every 6 years. My last Inspection in May 2022 and I was Graded Good and the report is available to view on-line.
I have a large garden for the children to play in with plenty of play equipment, swings and climbing frame/tree house/ride-ons. I attend toddler groups /Kidspace, Phoenix centre and childminding support groups in local children's centres daily.
My Aim
To form a good and trusting relationship working in partnership with parents/carers/teachers and children.
To complement & support the parents care and education of their child, by implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage..
To assist the child to grow in confidence, competence and self-esteem.
To gain the trust of your child so that s/he can relax, play and learn in an environment created exclusively for children to feel at home, safe and have lots of fun.
I follow a daily routine with the children incorporating activities in the day and set meal times.
To provide play opportunities and resources which help encourage your Childs development.
Policies and procedures are adhered to and signed by parents
Contracts signed by parents and myself and adhered to.
Development charts are produced via software called Babysdays
I Offer
Full time childcare places 8am to 18:00
Nursery pick ups and drop offs.
Breakfast /School drop offs/ After school collection
Schools : St aidans/Smitham primary schools
Breakfast is a good selection of cereals/Toast/milk/ fruit juice
Mid-morning snack of fruit /biscuit
Lunch is healthy nutritious sandwiches/scrambled egg/wraps/jacket potato.
Dinner is a healthy balanced nutritious home cooked meal including fresh vegetables

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
£75 per day full time 8-18:00
£25 per session after school care
£15 before school 7am-9am
£10 hour rate charged for Occasional/ outside contracted Hours.
If Statutory Public Holidays fall within contracted days a full fee is required.

I sent my children after school. She looks after them so well and give a home cooked healthy food with so much care. My children love the time in Adele home and never get cranky during pick up but they usually does after school club. She gives so much fun activity for children which they enjoy alot. I really wonder how she managed to get super organised with very young children all day and school children after school club. I am so impressed with her energy ,organising skill and not to forget of children safety.

Our son was with Adele for a year, from 12 months of age, and was so happy from day one. They formed such a close bond and she treated him like one of her own, showing him love and attention, while encouraging him to become independent and achieve his milestones. He learned so much with her and they always did so many wonderful activities together, from sensory activities and arts and crafts, to potting and watering plants, and learning how to play with and respect others. He adopted good manners and developed his social skills and was allowed to blossom through being in a safe and secure environment. Adele is so knowledgeable about childcare approaches and we had a great relationship with her as parents, as she provided us with support and guidance while working with us to get the best out of our son. We sadly moved out of the area and leaving Adele and her family was the hardest part of the move. We cannot recommend her highly enough and our son has had the best start to childcare, and is now confident and sociable, thanks to Adele.

Adele took my daughter in after a big move for us and she settled in so quickly and so well. Adele has such a lovely rapport with the children in her care, my daughter loved going there, had fun, learned so much and met many milestones under Adele’s care. My daughter has now moved for logistical reasons, but I can’t recommend Adele enough and would use her again for any more kids of my own who might come along!

Adele is a great childminder.
Was looking after my 6 years old son and he loved it! I can highly recommend her to everyone. 5 star🙂

Adele has been fantastic with our 4 year-old daughter. She is clearly well looked after, does loads of fun, educational activities, is well fed and as a result has been really happy. Our 7 year-old has also done the odd school holiday day and had a great time. Adele has been really flexible and supportive, particularly through the challenge of Covid, offers a long day and her rates are really competitive. Highly recommend!
