My Experience

CV available on request.

Nanny sole charge of twins – Great Easton:

My Job role whilst working for my current family was to care for twin baby girls from the age of 3 months. My role required me to sterilise bottles and stick to a schedule of feeding times for the babies as well as making sure they were safe and happy. I have also had to wean the babies onto solids from around 7 months old and track their progress with their development as they were also premature. Whilst in my role I also occasionally had to care for the older two children who were 6 and 9 as well as caring for the twin babies at the same time. I also have taken the older two children to school and after school clubs during the week which they have thoroughly enjoyed. I have experience within this job role of also caring for the family pets which was 5 dogs whilst the parents were out at work.

Nanny/House Keeper- Area of Bishop’s Stortford:
Whilst being a nanny/ housekeeper my role required me to care for the children and set up a range of activities to stimulate their learning and encourage development, this included taking them to play groups and arranging play dates with other children.. I also took one of the children to preschool and then whilst the other child was sleeping I would complete all household chores, this included doing the family washing, ironing, making beds and cleaning the house. In the evenings I would prepare meals for the children and ensure they were ready for their parents to bath them and put them to bed.

Disney Cruise Line - Youth Activities Counsellor:
My key duties were to interact and supervise children by providing a safe and entertaining environment. To set-up, clean-up and program support to Youth Entertainment Hosts during facilitated programs and activities occurring onboard as well as on Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. Other duties included extensive cleaning of youth spaces throughout the day to uphold USPH and Disney standards. I had to meet and greet all guests and assist with onboard registration and check in/out process, this also included managing telephone calls and assisting guest queries they may have had. I had to Prep food trays for children during meal or snack periods. I often needed to spontaneously entertain large volumes of children in the absence of planned activities and facilitate and present smaller-scale activities to groups varying in size, requiring the use of a microphone. It was often necessary to function as a Nursery Counselor during high volume periods and ensure secured programming policies are followed. Occasionally assisted with the Port Adventures (shore excursion) operation and helped with island rentals, beach set-up/clean-up, and games and activities on Castaway Cay. The role had high guest interaction ensuring the best time was had by all.

Play House Co – Ordinator (Overseas Childcare Rep TUI)
In winter I spent the Christmas period working in Lapland creating magic whilst being an Elf! My role was to communicate with the customers and entertain them during their stay, I did this by taking them to their excursions and arrivals and departures from the airport and giving them great customer service whilst informing them of any relevant information during their stay in Lapland. I also had to promote sales whilst in Lapland to sell the excursions to each individual family. I spent my summer in Tui sensatori resort Sorgun working in the Play-House which is a service that we offer to the children that attend our Sensatori Hotels for a chance for them to come in and explore our facilities and have an amazing holiday. My duties are to run supervised sessions for our guests aiming to create smiles and give them an experience to remember - 6 days a week, 10:00 until 21:30. Whilst doing this job I have acquired excellent customer service skills as I have had hands on experience assisting guests who had any questions or concerns. I also worked in Tui sensatori Resort Sorgun during summer 2017 where I also managed front desk in Play House including registration forms and taking guests payments for our services. In winter 2017 I spent my winter working in Gran Melia Palacio Isora hotel which is also one of TUI’s sensatori resorts also as a Play House co-ordinator during the Christmas period in 2017.

Deputy Manager (Baby Room), High House Montessori Nursery
May 2012 – September 2013 Returned February 2015 – March 2017
I worked as a deputy manager of the baby room at High House Montessori nursery. My duties were to both care for the children and aid their development. I arranged activities for the children to take part in which would further them in their development. I completed learning journals for my key children and planned their next steps to develop their learning, I did this by using the early years foundation stages (EYFS). My role as a deputy manager in the Baby room was to complete tasks such as fire drills, staff ratio and to make sure the room is a safe environment for the babies. I also made sure all staff worked to their best ability to maintain a positive environment. I also was left in charge several times of the nursery, this means I have been in charge of answering the phone and dealing with members of the public and helping answer any questions they may have had.
