My Summary
About Me
My name is Jane, and I have lived in Saxmundham and the surrounding area since birth. I have been a senior creche worker for Suffolk County Council, I was working with them for over 10 years. I was also a nanny/mothers help with 2 families, where I was assisting the mothers with various tasks and was a key holder for both. I have had the pleasure of being a private nanny for a lovely household with 3 children who were nearly 5, nearly 3 and 15 months. I had been with the family for 3 and a half years and have seen the children flourish day by day. I have also been a private nanny to 2 other families, one with 3 boys and one with a girl and a boy, and 3 separate sets of twins. My duties have varied according to the families and their requirements. I aim to be flexible to suit the family, this has included night nannying, sleep training/wedding crèche and weaning off dummies. One of the children had a skin condition, which needed constant attention, adhering to medical advice aswell as that of parents.

I also support the family as much as I can, with light household duties, babysitting and sleepovers-being as flexible as I possibly can.
Many thanks for looking @ my profile :)
My Experience
I have been working with children for 40+ years. The childrens ages have ranged from birth to the age of 15, though mainly to the age of 5, as they approach reception age.
I have looked after children privately and within the playgroup setting where I acquired my Level 3 qualification in childcare. I have cared for children of varying abilities. One specific area has been speech and language development and another assisting with walking.
Children thrive on being rewarded for positive behaviour, and I promote this method. Encouraging children to develop their own mind and having the option to choose is also paramount.
My goal is to offer a loving and caring environment in which the children can develop at their own pace and flourish.
I work with the parents/carers to provide the best quality of care by adhering to established routines and requests - the welfare of the child is always at the very heart, the central core-the reason for working with children.
The older children may have homework or projects to do for school and I am willing to assist as much as I can.
I have references and little notes that are either from the parents-or the children themselves.
I am willing to stay overnight, begin earlier and finish later-please give as much notice as possible. Any of this can be pre agreed-rates may vary.
I have tried to cover as much as possible here to give you information into my work ethic
My Qualifications
I have a Diploma in Pre-School Practice which is equivalent to an NVQ3.

Jane was lovely! My 14month old spent a couple of hours while we had date night and it went so smoothly, this was the first time we had left her with someone who wasn’t family and overall because of Jane’s calm and professional nature it went really well. Would definitely recommend her ! Xxx

Thank you, very much appreciated.
She's a gorgeous little girl. 😍
During our stay in the area for work, we were fortunate to have Jane's exceptional care for our two energetic boys, aged 13 months and 3 years old. Jane's wonderful creativity and affection for children shone through as she effortlessly engaged our little ones. Despite not having our usual assortment of toys on hand, Jane came prepared with an array of age-appropriate activities that kept the boys entertained! Her patience and attentiveness created a nurturing environment where our boys felt safe to explore and express themselves freely. We're immensely grateful for the peace of mind she brought to us.

Thank you Kathryn, very much appreciated. Its a pleasure caring for your children 💕
We couldn’t have been happier with Jane. She put us at ease straight away and connected with our two year old son instantly. She’s exactly what you would hope to find in a nanny, so much so that we have passed on her details to where we were staying (Wilderness Reserve) to suggest they recommend her to future guests.
Thank you Nanny Jane! If we are ever in the area again we will be in touch.

Jane babysat for our one year old for the evening of a wedding, in the wedding venue accommodation. Despite my hope that my daughter would sleep through the evening, she didn’t, but Jane took the very best care of her and sang / rocked / calmed her as needed. Jane was super communicative and didn’t mind my frequent messages checking all was ok, and at my request was really good at keeping me updated. It’s the first time we have used a ‘stranger’ to babysit but Jane was wonderful and I had no concerns whatsoever leaving her in charge. I am only sorry that we live 3 hours away and therefore can’t use Jane for childcare on a regular basis!

We were a bit nervous leaving our little boy with someone new whilst we went out. Jane put us at ease immediately by her professionalism, took him off to play/ sing and read books - he took to her straight away and was smiling and laughing. She kept us updated all night (which is what we wanted) and sent a summary at the end of the night. Thank you Jane, you are a true professional and amazing at what you do

Nanny Jane saved our day! Another sitter ghosted us and at the last minute she was available and made our son’s day and evening wonderful. Warm, kind and gracious with children and adults — we are traveling but wish we could take her home with us!

Right from my first email, Jane was professional, reassuring and kind. We needed a one off event nanny for our two boys (1 year old and 4 year old) and she made us feel totally at ease. Her communication was exemplary; we started sorting out the details and she asked lots of questions about them and their likes and dislikes, asked for their routine, red books, safety measures in the house and allergies/medical needs and even offered to bring some toys and books for them to enjoy. She was flexible to slight changes in the timings that were needed a few days before the event.
On the day she was punctual, super friendly and the boys warmed to her immediately. I knew straight away that we would be able to enjoy the wedding we were going to without concern for them. Without prompting, Jane messaged me to let me know how they were getting on, sent a few pictures and let me know when everyone was asleep. We could totally switch off thanks to her care and attention.
The next morning we received a long and detailed Nanny Jane adventure diary text message filled with all the activities they got up to during their afternoon and evening together which was such a sweet extra that really went above and beyond.
I will definitely use Jane again when we need to and would recommend her to anyone else looking for a very special person to take care of their little ones.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. it is very much appreciated.
We were privileged to employ Jane Everington as a nanny to our son and, later, our daughter
from February 2020 through August 2021 with breaks for the UK lockdown. Nanny Jane was
reliable, professional, warm, caring, communicative, and quickly felt like a member of the family.
She has a special gift in guiding and teaching children with songs, fun, and clear rules. My son
is a challenging toddler, prone to extreme emotional swings and has trouble moving between
activities or following directions. After a short time with Nanny Jane we saw his knowledge and
skills expand. She quickly transitioned between tasks in our busy household, and I implicitly
trusted her with my newborn and my energetic toddler. She would make an effort to find extra
work to make my life easier - like emptying the dishwasher or folding laundry.
Her professionalism cannot be understated. She is prompt and communicative. Nanny Jane
made special efforts to learn Swedish words for our multilingual family. Moreover, I’m a bit of a
germaphobe which has been exacerbated by the current pandemic, and I noted that she is
always careful to wash her hands on arrival and encouraged a habit of hand washing in my son.
To further allay my concerns she conducted lateral flow tests weekly. Her reliability and
carefulness were a true gift during these uncertain times.
Nanny Jane went above and beyond exceptional care for my children by providing weekly
updates on progress and photos of activities. Guilt is a constant companion for a busy mother
and these small touches really helped me feel in-touch with what was going on with my toddler.
Rather than simply babysitting, her time with my son and daughter felt like a valuable
investment in their growth and development.
I fully endorse her work as a nanny, and we would still be employing Nanny Jane if we had not moved!

It was an absolute pleasure to look after your 2 children. Seeing them grow, develop and flourish is why I choose to care for children. They all have a piece of my heart ❤ and they are forever embedded in mine ♥

We are not from the area but we were attending a wedding at Sibton Park. We needed someone to watch our toddler for a few hours for two consecutive evenings. Jane was perfect - responded promptly to messages, punctual, helped put our child to bed and comforted her when she woke in an unusual environment. Would recommend.

Thank you very much, it was a joy to look after her 😍
Jane came to manage our 3 children (from 2 different households) she had never met before. She managed 2 of them who clearly were no keen to comply with their usual rules of behaving & sleeping, with a lot of patience and kindness. She arrived even before the shift started to make sure she was on time, and was very responsive during the evening. She had noted all events on a report that we got when we came back. Really outstanding job.
