My Summary
About Me
Personal Profile
I am a professional nanny with over 20 year’s experience working with children from birth to school age. As a care and education provider I am committed to my professional development and the changing legislation which underpins children’s learning, therefore I have undertaken training courses based on the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. In addition to the nurturing and education of children, I pride myself in ensuring I form good working relationships with parents and other support networks outside the home environment. My early Special Education Needs, intervention training allows me to also accommodate children with special needs and provide parental support.
My role and responsibilities involve creating a stimulating environment for children to learn and grow through story-telling, singing, physical activities and establishing boundaries all based on the curriculum set out in the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage Document).
Routines include baby feeding, baby led weaning and promoting healthy eating. Hygiene care includes bathing, skin care, dental hygiene and toilet training. Extra-curricular activities include attending play-groups, organise visits to the library, music/art classes and assisting with homework. My hours are flexible and I can work with more than one family at a time.
