About Me
My name is Marion. I am an Ofsted registered child minder and Mum of three boys. My home is a friendly, happy, and safe environment in which I provide children with an exciting, fun, and enjoyable learning experience. I actively encourage learning through play and provide a wide range of activities with lots of outdoor play to meet every child's needs.
Activities include cooking, messy play, arts and crafts, painting, imaginative play, rhyme and music, story time,
I take children on outings to the park, the Farm outdoor play areas such as Boxhill and national trust parks.
I provide healthy, nutritious meals and snacks that are all home cooked. I have my food hygiene training.
I live with my husband and three boys, age 16 and twins age 14 they are all at full-time school.
I have a good size setting the children have a very good size play room in a self contained cabin, with a large selection of indoor and outdoor toys which is always being added to.The garden is a good size for the children to play in and explore.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 10 years as well as being a mum of 3 boys including twins, during my time as a childminder i have had the privalidge of working with lots amazing families caring for babies and helping them develop and be ready for school. I have lots of experience caring for children with special needs.
I have a good Ofsted Grading at my last inspection carried out March 2018

I am always completing classes and adding to my Qualifications. I keep my knowledge fresh and keep up to date with government changes and any new research.
Completed my stepping into child-minding in 2013 - giving me the ability to deliver the EYFS effectively in a fun environment.

My son joined Marion after his nursery closed down 18 months ago. We were so grateful to have found her and wish we'd found her sooner! Her setting is so nurturing and he ran in every morning with a huge smile on his face. He was so excited to tell us about all the fun things he'd been doing like going for walks, painting, playing in the garden and singing. We were really sad to leave Marion's when it came time for him to start pre-school. I would recommend Marion to anyone. It was so reassuring knowing he was spending his day in such a lovely setting. We would often get photos of the fun things he was up to each day.
The space the children have it a great size and so we'll equipped. There is also a great outside space as well as them regularly going out on walks.

My daughters have attended Marion’s setting since 2022 and have both been so happy there. My eldest still has memories of being with Marion’s from playing games, reading books or singing songs. We always felt confident that our children were safe and well looked after whilst having a fab time. Sadly it’s come to the time my youngest has had to move on, Marion and Heather you’ll both be missed! X

Marion has been the most wonderful childminder to my son, Albie for the last 18 months. I was initially so uneasy about leaving him with a stranger but he settled so quickly and was so much happier than in the previous nursery. Marion has been incredible with his multiple food allergies and it is evident how much she cares for him. He is always so happy and excited to see her in the mornings and obviously adores her. The activities she sets up for the children are just wonderful and I really couldn't recommend her enough. We are so sad that Albie is leaving and I just hope he enjoys school as much as he has loved being with her. We will really miss you Marion, thank you so much for everything! Xx

Marion looked after our daughter from 13 months right through until she started school nursery at 4. She also looked after our son for a short period of time (blame covid and marion moving away!!)
We were devastated when marion told us she was moving away!
She is so helpful, flexible and wonderful with the kids! Her setting in sutton was amazing im sure her new setting is just as fab.

Both my children were looked after by Marion from the age of 1 years old (my son) and 10 months old (my daughter), up until they started nursery where they went part time and then throughout the school holidays. I'd moved my son from a different childminder and it was honestly the best decision! Marion looked after them incredibly well, she helped us throughout all the developmental phases and milestones and provided a safe, caring and fun environment for my children. They both had so much fun at "Marion's house", doing various creative activities, crafts and projects as well as lots of play. Marion always updated us on how the children got on, provided advice when we needed it and in fact she felt like an extension of the family. It was always very easy to speak to her about anything concerning the children. My children are of school age now, however they continued to go to Little Robins in the school holidays and would still be there now if we still lived close. They would even ask to go to her house on the weekend! They miss Marion and her lovely family.
