About Me
I am an energetic person with a great sense of humour and I like to build warm relationships with both adults and children. I was born in Portugal to African parents , I speak Portuguese and English often to the children in my care. Promoting diversity and awareness of different cultures is important to me. I do this by celebrating, cooking different types of foods, outings, reading and watching educational programs.
I enjoy working in this profession because I like to contribute to making a difference in children’s lives. I am a reflective and enthusiastic early years practitioner and I feel I have been making a difference over the years. Every child is unique and I value these differences. I have learnt with hand on experience how to observe these different needs and expectations.
I aspire to enable children to develop to their maximum capabilities and to become confident individuals who can reach their full potential.
I love creative activities such as, planting, baking, role play, junk modelling, outdoors and so on.
My Experience
I am very passionate about working with young children, and have gained vast experience in the last 10 years working mainly with children aged 0-5 years. I have also worked with special educational needs (autism) in children centres and private nurseries across London.
My house is well designed to provide your child with a best start. I've a playroom and good size garden for your little one to explore. My approach is influenced by Montessori and Reggio Emilia , the children in my care will be encourage to be curious, independent, kind and to have fun!
