Hello, Karen here.
I live in Kings Hill, near West Malling, with my husband and Miniature Poodle.
In addition to working part-time as a Nanny I care for my elderly mother in Sevenoaks.
Any spare time I have is spent walking our dog, looking after our house and garden or
catching up with friends and family.
My Experience

I am Ofsted registered and therefore DBS checked with First Aid training.
I am currently working as a part-time, After School Nanny for a lovely family in Sevenoaks who have three children. I have been with this family since April 2018. The time has flown by and now the youngest is coming towards the end of Year 6.
Prior to this position I was in a similar role for 4 years with a different family in Sevenoaks who have two children, now both at secondary school.
Before working as an After School Nanny I worked full-time for 7 years as a primary school teacher (4-11 year olds). I enjoyed teaching and observing the children progress, however, I personally found the number of extra hours spent at home on marking, assessing and planning way too excessive.
Working as a Nanny I get to spend quality one on one time with each child. I can get to know their personality and learn what they are interested in. I enjoy organising fun activities and teaching in a much less structured way. If possible I would like to work with parent/s who view me as an extended member of the family instead of an employee.
