About Me
I'm a very friendly and active mum of three and a qualified registered ofted rated 'Outstanding' childminder. I love children and really enjoy helping them learn and grow. My home is very friendly with a lovely playroom, lots of toys for girls boys and all ages. I am fully equiped for babies and also have homework facilities for older children. I have a fun enclosed garden and attend lots of local playgroups, parks, farms, museums and nature walks.
I live with my husband and children and have been in Southampton about 17 years, I'm originally from Lancashire.
My Experience
I previously worked with children aged 3-13 in schools for the NSPCC before becoming a childminder and have a lot of experience with all ages, abilities and backgrounds. I have my own three children, the first attended nursery, the second a childminder and the third has stayed home with me, so I do have the experience of what you might be considering.
Since becoming a childminder I have taken every opportunity to learn new skills doing many courses in the evenings and at weekends.
My Qualifications
Fully qualified and Ofsted registered childminder. My latest Ofsted grading was OUTSTANDING which was 2016

Level 3 diploma in childcare
Network childminder
Paediatric first aid certificate
Champion support childminder
CRB checked ( both me and my husband)

I try to attend courses on child developement some evenings and weekends as often as possible.
I have personal experience with eczema and asthma
FULLY ACCREDITED!! which means I can accept 2, 3 and 4 year old funding. You can use your 15/30 free hours with me instead of nursery or pre school or split it between. I accept childcare vouchers too.
My Availability
I have currently have 2 vacancies for a pre- school child or baby full time or part time slots.
I have vacancies for children over 8yrs before and after school and during holidays. I can pick up/drop off from Ladybirds pre school, Manor rd pre school, Ludlow Infants and Ludlow Juniors.
I have vacancies available for school holidays only.
I can accomodate different dietary needs or learning difficulties depending on the circumstances however I do not have wheel chair access. I would be willing to attend courses if necessary.
You are welcome to come and see me and my home with no obligation and you will be offered free settle in visits where possible, please phone to make an appointment.
I work all year round but take 5 weeks holidays over the year usually in the school holidays.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £5.00 per hour
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
£4 per hour for pre school children including drinks and snacks
£4 per hour for school aged children including drinks and snacks
Breakfast can be provided for a small additional fee

Sarah is an outstanding childminder and we instantly felt welcome in her home. My two girls (ages 3 & 6) love going to Sarah's house and playing with the many friends they have made there. Sarah does loads of different activities with the children and is full of energy. We chose to have Sarah give our younger daughter her 15 hours funded rather than send her to pre-school and Sarah has done a brilliant job of preparing her to start school. We are moving away from the area soon and will be so sad to leave Sarah - our new childminder will have a tough act to follow!

When myself and my husband had to find a childminder for our baby girl you can imagine, as a parent, the thought process you go through of trying to select the right person to help your precious bundle, learn, grow, develop but above all be happy and safe. We met with a number of different childminders and although there was nothing wrong with them, Sarah stood out far and beyond them all. Her home is all about the children, set up for them to play, paint, cook, dance you name it they could do it there. From the moment we met her we both knew she was the one that we wanted our child to go to and we have never looked back.
Sarah is so flexible, and in our eyes goes the extra mile to accommodate our situation around work commitments, and nothing is too much trouble. She supplies feed back on how our child is developing and we regularly get special pictures or presents that have been carefully made for us. I honestly can't put into words how lucky we feel to have found Sarah, but above all how our daughter is cherished and nurtured in a caring and loving environment not dissimilar to one you would create in your own home. She is 'One in a million'
