My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
Fee information is upon request:
I do offer funding where parents are eligible.
Extra hours are charged at my current rates if required and maybe subject to availability .
Should a contract include any additional days after any funded hours are taken into account then full & part days can be at a set daily fee for a full or Part day.
Unsociable hours:
If required an unsociable rate will apply for early starts between 7/7.30 am.
Breakfast:
For children arriving before 8 am.
Snacks:
I provide healthy snacks.
Lunch : Parents Provide
I do not provide lunch therefore
you are required to bring along a healthy packed lunch or Baby weaning foods that can be reheated & formula milks if needed.
Tea… Not provided
I do not provide a cooked tea however arrangements for tea for younger babies with specific routines can be discussed where you have the option to bring a ready made meal of which can be discussed.
Snacks/light tea are offered for example: sandwich, crumpets, breadsticks, crackers , yoghurt & fruit etc;.
Other dietary requirements:
Should your child have allergies or & intolerances to certain foods or milks etc or any other dietary requirements, then this can be discussed and I will ask for all food to be provided where necessary.
All dietary requirements are followed to each parents personal wishes.
* Outings & play group entry price included & other resources.
* I can provide disposable nappies and wipes .
However if you prefer to bring a particular brand of disposable nappy then that’s ok.
However I prefer not to use a ‘pull up’ type of nappy on younger babies as they are not the most convenient and hold a lot less causing them to leak which can make changing times awkward and longer than necessary.
*Potty/toilet training is fine for pullups if required.
GOVERNMENT FUNDING.....
Government funded childcare is paid directly to childcare providers and is paid for 38 term weeks of each academic school year…September to July over 3 separate payments which are during September January & April.
Of which I will advise parents at each funded term about how many funded hours are covered as required.
Any additional hours, days or/& weeks above your given funded hours will be due at my current hourly or sessional rate.
15-30 hours Funding:
15 hours funded childcare is standard for all 3-4yr olds without application however 30 hours of funded childcare has certain qualifying criteria of which can be applied for on the Childcare Choices Government site.
The New extension of 15 hours funded childcare for children from
9 months of age dependent on when your child’s birthday is .
Again a certain income and working hours criteria may apply and application is required to assess eligibility is via the Childcare Choices site.
All information is given on how and when to apply via Childcare Choices.
Parents should be aware that currently the funding rates we are given do not always cover certain expenses for childcare providers.
Therefore there maybe a small additional daily charge to cover consumables on days where your funding is applied .
I am registered with the
Tax-Free Childcare Scheme
allows working parents to access a reduction of 20% equal to £2 of every £8 spent on childcare.
Where applicable for any difference of fees after funding is taken then some parents are eligible to apply for a further 20% off your childcare payments.
More information is available at HMRC Tax-Free Childcare or via the Childcare Choices site.

Kath has been fantastic with our son, he has loved every minute in her care. She has a home from home environment, which makes the kids feel comfortable. She always gets them out and about. She has always been so helpful and accommodating for us. She really gets to know what the kids interests are. My son is very sad to leave, but is starting his next adventure at preschool, we will still be using Kath for school holidays. I would highly recommend her as a childminder.

Kath is absolutely the best person to look after your little one while you can't. She goes above and beyond and is hugely caring, creative, kind, and loving.
Kath looked after my son from 9 months to 4 years and was a huge support for him and me. He still talks about all the things they used to do together and always looks forward to any school holidays he can still be cared for by Kath. My son was super clingy as a baby, having almost never left my side since birth. However, he settled at Kath's in a matter of hours and frequently didn't want to leave at pick up time which, in my books, is always a good sign! Kath is fantastic at communicating and sending photos of things that have happened during the day, or just a quick line to say everything is ok.
As a completely single parent, I found Kath to be hugely supportive and full of brilliant advice and suggestions how to deal with my son who was displaying increasing signs of special needs and challenging behaviour. He is now under his school SEN team and in the process of being diagnosed, and although Kath no longer looks after him on a regular basis, she is still a huge source of help and advice for me which I appreciate enormously.
If you are looking for a childminder, you honestly could not find anyone better than Kath. She goes above and beyond with toys, games, creative ideas, amazing trips out and little acts of kindness which I will never forget. She truly is one in a million!!

I highly recommend Kath. Kath got ‘good’ Ofsted rating which is one of the top marks from Ofsted. When it should read ‘excellent’ My little girl attended 4/5 days a week with Kath from 18 months old until the age of 4. Kath is great with my daughter. We miss her now my little girl attends reception/school. She often asks for her. Which made me feel great as I made the right decision choosing Kaths Kids from my daughter being a baby.
Kath has a genuine care for her children and brings them on leaps and bounds with their learning, talking .. walking and more! From rainy day activities to fun days out to the park, museums or play centres.
I will hopefully still have Kath in our lives for school aftercare too.
You will not be disappointed.
Amazing lady! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thank you for everything Kath!

We have been fortunate to have found Kath early on to have looked after both our children prior to going to school. We couldn't believe our luck/relief when she offered to do pick up from Ludworth. Kath does earlier starts than any other childminders we know, which is great when you have an early start. If fortunate to finish early from work we are often get greeted with a 'we aren't ready to go home yet'! Our children are always playing with toys when we pick them up (never sat in front of the TV) which indicates the range of toys Kath has to keep all ages entertained. We have recommended Kath to our friends who are so thankful that their child is now being looked after by her. If you are looking for before or after school childcare (or both) Kath is fantastic, it really takes away the stress from working parents! Knowing your child is well cared for and enjoying their setting is priceless and that is what you get.

I can’t recommend or thank Kath highly enough! She has cared for my son 3 days a week since he was 9 months old in June 2015 and he loves her like a second mum! Being a single parent, my son had barely left my side before he started at Kath’s but he settled with her very quickly and easily and now regularly asks to go to Kath’s on his days with me! She is incredibly caring, kind and attentive towards him and all the children in her care. Her house is packed with equipment, toys, craft items, books and everything a little one could possibly want. You can tell she really listens to and understands the needs of the children in her care, and she is always coming up with new ways to challenge, encourage and excite them. Nothing is too much trouble and she is brilliant at keeping in touch and letting you know how your child is getting on. She is also a font of knowledge and her advice has been invaluable when dealing with some of the more challenging moments of parenthood.
She takes them to various groups and activities through the week which my son really looks forward to, ballet is his particular favourite, and he has learned much more with Kath than I ever could have taught him at home. He will miss her immensely when he goes to school but will be returning to her in the holidays which he is very happy about!
If you are looking for a fabulous childminder then look no further, you have found her!

Both of our children have been with Kath since July 2014. After having our son I used a local nursery but following the birth of our daughter we decided to look for a childminder. After visiting a few childminders we came across Kath and I knew straight away that she would be perfect for our children. They settled in straight away so I had no worries when I left them to return to work. They have never once not wanted to go and my daughter is often heard saying 'Kaths house now!' All of Kaths toys are clean and in working order. She has so many toys, craft equipment and books that our children are spoilt for choice. They go on weekly visits to play centres, local parks, farms and trips out to museums, I really don't know where Kath gets her stamina from!
Kath really shows an interest in what our children enjoy and almost weekly we turn up and she has bought something for them to develop that interest or searched for places that will enhance their learning.
Our son will really miss Kath when he goes to school to September. We are so thankful that we found Kath and would not hesitate in recommending her.

My son has gone to Kath's from being 3 months old, he's now 19 months old and very happy there. He has cow's milk protein allergy, GERD and is soya intolerant, Kath has been great at dealing with my sons allergy's, she always discusses any foods with me before giving them to my son and she gave me the option of providing all of my sons food or she was happy to provide him all allergy safe foods whilst in her care. Every now and then she'll tell me she's found another 'safe' food for my son at the supermarket, I think it's awesome that she takes the time to read labels in the supermarket for my son even though she doesn't have to as I have chosen to provide all of my sons food for now, but this just shows me she genuinely cares and takes my sons allergies seriously. My sons GERD is very much under control now but it’s been great to have a childminder who gets it as not many people (in my experience) know what GERD is but Kath does. when my son was three months old his GERD was quite bad, up until he was around ten months he would choke on his vomit often so I was scared to leave him with anyone but after reading about Kath’s many qualifications and experience on here I thought if my son does choke then Kath is qualified to deal with it and has had the proper training where as I haven’t so I knew I could trust her. Kath is very easy going and really does put me at ease. A few months ago I needed an extra day for my son and thought it would be good to use a nursery so my son would get some variation but during the induction period they fed him dairy knowing he is severely allergic, I phoned Kath crying my eyes out and she was great, calmed me down and said she’ll have my son on that extra day! I was and still am so grateful to have such a wonderful childminder who takes great care of my son and I never worry if he’s ok because I know he is safe. My son will stay with Kath now until he goes to school as I don’t want to use a nursery ever again. Nine times out of ten when I collect my son he doesn’t want to come home, when I pick him up he’ll reach out to Kath and as much as i’d like my son to have missed me, it’s a great reassurance for me to know he enjoys his time at Kath's that much.
