My Experience

I have been a childminder for 24 years, so have a lot of experience with minded children from the age of 3 months to 11 years old. I am Ofsted registered and graded Outstanding. I have taken many courses all of which you can view in my portfolio when you visit. We have achieved a bronze, silver and gold award for Healthy Early Years London, I am constantly updating my skills and have a BA Hons Degree in Childhood and Youth Studies and Advanced Practice qualification NVQ Level 4 all through the Open University. I am an Accredited SENCO Co-ordinator (Special Educational Needs) and Accredited in Makaton. I have looked after many children over the years. I enjoy looking after and educating children so children are school ready when beginning school. I also have Home Schooled primary children. Although I could have become a teacher within a school, I feel that as a childminder I offer a unique service to all my families because I can offer care, education and stability (continuity of care) as well as love to children which children do not always receive from other settings. We also teach Kind Education (respect and care for all beings) and also Meditation which offers a holistic approach where children can learn to self-regulate and helps their social and emotional wellbeing . If a child can regulate emotionally then this helps their cognitive regulation in all areas of learning and development.

I have some children that started with me when they were little are now nearly 11 years old. Parents tell me that they have peace of mind, knowing that they are kept completely up-to-date of how their child is developing (through the outstanding Babys Days software), that their child has many opportunities and experiences at my setting and that they are confident with my qualifications, care, ability and behaviour management of their children. I offer children attending the setting, breakfast, lunch, dinner, healthy snacks and puddings of course. The children engage in many activities at my setting. We also offer homework support.

My daughter is an Ofsted Registered Childminder graded Outstanding and an Accredited SENCO. My daughter has previously worked in preschools and nurseries. She has excellent childcare qualifications and has attended many other training courses.

I am a herbalist and a practising Buddhist (New Kadampa Tradition (Mahayana).

I am willing to Home School primary aged children for parents who do not wish to send their child to school for varied reasons. Note there will be an additional fee.

My Availability

Monday to Wednesday 7.30 am - 6.00 pm.

School covered - Mawney School.

My Fees

• Childminding from £6.36 per hour

£70.00 per day
£25.00 before and after school

My setting offers both 15 and 30 hours government funding.
The setting does not take children for under 3 days a week.
My places go quickly as once a child starts they usually stay for many years.
Do check my availability. I also run a waiting list.
Many parents choose to book my service in advance to secure their childs place.

Fees include: home made baby food, breakfast, lunch, dinner, puddings, healthy snacks, reusable nappies, flip-pant trainer pants (for children toilet training), home-made eco friendly wipes, baby cream. Fee rate reflects that we are highly qualified and experienced and includes consumables and food. We also offer homework support.
