About Me
Hi there I am Donna Percival and have been a childminder in the inverkip area for 16 years. I live with my husband Scott and our two children Ben and Jess. Our household is very pet friendy and includes a cavalier king charles spaniel called Finn, a puggle called Freddy, a cat called dex and a bearded dragon called Ziggy.
I am lucky to have worked with a number of fantastic families over the years and as a result my job is very enjoyable.
As we live in a lovely area we use the outdoors a lot, we have a number of parks nearby, a beach and also a forest, the kids love visiting these to explore. I attend the local toddler groups and spend a lot of time with other childminders so that your child will make lots of lovely new friends.On rainy days we often go to cardwell garden centre and Soft play.I also enjoy doing arts and crafts, baking, playing, reading and sensory play.
With all the recent changes due to Covid 19 childminders have had to adapt their services. I am a covid 19 compliant service and am more than happy to explain the ways in which I have adapted to keep you little people safe and secure.
My Experience
I have the experience of bringing up my own two children as well as the children I have childminded over the past decade. When i was growing up my mum was a childminder too so have always been familiar with the expectations and responsibilities that go with being privilaged to look after other peoples children.
My Qualifications
I attend training courses regularly. Recent ones I have attended have been First Aid, child protection and An Introduction to Play Therapy and Attachment Behaviours. I bring all theses courses back into my setting
My Availability
I currently have a few part time spaces available. For queries about hours please contact me. I do pick up and drop off at Inverkip Primary and Inverkip Nursery.
