About Me
I have been inspected by OFSTED and awarded an 'Outstanding' for all areas in childcare, I have been Childminding since 2011. I am a mother and understand the importance of family values, love and respect.
I treat all the children I look after has my own, loving and looking after them equally and unconditionally.
I work with my husband aswell as a few other assistants, this puts us in a fortunate position because there is a balance of male and female influences in the childrens lives and we have the luxury of providing more care and attention to the children we are caring for. As with all assistants they are all fully DBS checked and have undertaken training in Paediatric First Aid, aswell as Safeguarding.
My home is designed to be safe, stimulating and to develop the personalities of all the children in my care.
I attempt to ensure that everyday is slightly different by engaging and setting new challenges for my children. In addition, I enjoy taking the kids out to regular and different surroundings to aid their learning and also encourage socializing, developing confidence and learning new skills.
I have a MPV vehicle which is fully insured for childminding and with my husband who holds a PCV licence (licence to drive coaches buses etc.) we regularly visit local parks, museums, toddler ‘stay and play’ groups, soft play areas, children centres, parent and toddler groups and libraries.
In the summer with the consent of parents, we will be hoping to travel to farms and other adventure filled places!
As with all registered early years settings, I adhere to the Early- years foundation stage (EYFS), which means that all children in my care, have their own developmental folder which tracks, their progress, and I plan next steps to encourage their growing.
I am also eligible to receive free funding for 2,3 4 year olds. I am registered to accept child tax credits and childcare vouchers, which may give parents some financial flexibility.
I am very flexible and pride myself in working very closely and communicating with parents to ensure they are happy with the service I provide. I am a parent and I understand the initial apprehensions in leaving a child with a new carer and so I am more than happy to work through any questions you may have.
I provide a daily diary to keep parents informed of their child's daily routine so that routines can remain consistent between parents and my setting.
I provide breakfast club which starts at 7am, I provide breakfast and transport children school and into their classes safely.
I also provide afterschool care in 2 settings- Halfway Houses Primary School and Minster Primary School.
The Halfway Club caters for children of Halfway School, and The Minster School club for Minster school children only. The clubs have been praised for its stimulating, safe and engaging set up, the children have the opportunity of participating in sport, crafts, reading, STEM activities and forming new friendships. Staff at both clubs work within a school environment during the day, and enjoy playing with and supporting the children.

My Experience
I went to Southampton University where I studied at the Social Science faculty obtaining an Honors Degree.
My career developed from working with St. John Ambulance to working as a communications and Marketing Manager helping to develop and deliver qualifications for those working within the childcare sector. The company is a sector skills council and my role was to also promote play and developmental skills for children and young people. This experience led me to retrain and pursue a career in Childminding, which I feel is very rewarding.
Perhaps key to my continued career in childminding is the interaction that takes place between all the children. It is exciting and so rewarding to invite new children into my home and watch them develop a love for new things and ideas. Embracing new concepts I believe opens a young mind and makes them ready for the challenges they will face when they become an adult.

My setting runs from 07:00 until 18:30. I am flexible and can work until later- if required

When my partner was offered a new position we were taken by surprise and had no childcare in place, we got in touch with Uzma and she was brilliant, she found a place for our son and he was quickly signed up and in her care.
Since then my partners hours have changed again and Uzma has been fantastic accommodating these new hours.
She is a driven professional whose friendly, down to earth nature come across as soon as you meet her. Her family is adorable, Husband and helper Rob is always smiling and very welcoming, Their daughters are happy, helpful, clever and beautiful little examples of the care provided.
Our son is happy to go to her everyday, he takes part in a wide range of activities often bringing home products of his labour.
We couldn't recommend Uzma enough. We feel ever so lucky to have her.

As soon as we met Uzma and her family we knew that they would provide the ideal setting for our daughter. She is treated as part of the family. Uzma always has time for a catch up and is genuinely interested in our daughter's life outside of her care.
Uzma has a caring approach yet remains professional at all times and runs a very organised setting. She has also been extremely flexible, accommodating mine and my partner's hectic work schedules.
My daughter loves her time with Uzma and enjoys spending whole days with her in the holidays when they often go on trips to the coast or the park.
If I could sum the relationship up it would be to say that we would be lost without her!

Uzma has been an absolute god send. I have been so lucky to find such an excellent and professional Childminder....who my 2yr old daughter adores.
Uzma has had my daughter from 6 months old, and I have seen the rapid development and progression my little girl has made over the past 2 yrs.
Sarah looks so forward to her days at Uzma's as she knows they will do lots of fun activities: arts & crafts, visiting children centres, day trips to the woods and enjoying walks along the beach.
Uzma has welcomed sarah into her home, her family and her heart, and from day one I have not worried once, as I know my little one is in very good hands.
Uzma, I can't thank you enough.

My daughter has been looked after by Uzma for a year now and she has blossomed in Uzma's care. She adores Uzma and her family and comes home full of stories of exciting trips, arts and crafts, projects and fun, educational activities. Umza is kind, fair, caring and her work with the children is exemplary. Her communication with parents is second-to-none and she is very keen to link in with other childcare providers, for instance my daughter's nursery, to ensure consistent care and target setting between settings. I couldn't recommend her more!

I have been taking my children to Uzma for over a year now and cannot recommend her enough! My children are always excited to see her and spend time in her care. She plans exciting days for them full of activities and outings. These are done to support the children's next steps and encourage them to develop. She is kind, loving and fair in the way she interacts with the children. Uzma is also very easy to work with as a parent. She listens to any daily concerns that come up and is responsive to the changing needs of the children. She also keeps me up to date with their progress and next steps. It's always hard to leave your children in the care of others, but in Uzma's care I know my children will have a great day and return happy and very well looked after.
