About Me
Hi, My name is Carmel, I live in the Waterside area which Parents find an ideal location for commuting. I am a fully Registered Childminder with Early Years Team, Western Health & Social Care Trust for nearly 18 Years now . I am a non-smoker. I love watching the children in my home grow and blossom into the best little person that they can be. I care for children aged between 6 months to 12 years. I believe children learn best through play allowing them to be creative and imaginative. With this in mind, I provide lots of opportunities for children to participate in Nursery Rhymes, songs, story time, art & craft session, as well as other fun filled learning activities. I do nursery/school pick ups. I do homework with the children. In my setting, I have a large playroom which caters for all ages, home corner, dressing up, Lego, duplo, art& craft (painting, colouring in, aqua beads sticking and glueing), happy street,along variety toys. I provide a warm room for nap time. My garden is fully enclosed equipped with a full range of toys for outdoor play. (cars, scooters, tractors, tricycles, basketball, football posts, climbing frame, playhouse. We enjoy lots of outings to toddlers, story & rhyme time in the library, Jo Jingles, parks nature walks, to name a few. In my home, I aim to promote a warm, friendly, relaxed and nurturing environment, where children leave at the end of the day happy and contented. My Experience
I have looked after children since 16 babysitting. Before I became a registered childminder, I worked in a private day nursery . I am fully trained in all the relevant childcare qualifications. I am also Montessori trained and qualified Nursery Nurse. Recently, I completed an OCN in level 2 in Mindfulness and reducing anxiety as I hold children’s well being of high importance.

I'll leave my review simple and short.
Colleagues and friends envied my luck finding Carmel.
Carmel took care of my daughter for only 12 months. My family had to relocate and losing Carmel is one of our biggest losses.
My daughter thinks the world of her... still does. I can recommend her enough.
