About Me
Hi, my name is Amanda, I live in Long Eaton with my teenage Daughter Ruby. We have a large fully enclosed garden with a play house and sit and ride toys, a mud kitchen and water wall, a vegetable patch where children are encouraged to grow their own fruit, vegetables and flowers. We also have an allotment that we sometimes visit, weather permitting! We have a dedicated play room with toys such as a kitchen and dressing up for role play, puzzles games, dolls & pushchairs, a garage, a farm and a wide selection of books. We use the conservatory as a dining room and for messy play such as painting or activities with rice and lentils. We visit various toddler groups each week to get children used to mixing and interacting with other children. We also visit the farm and library as well as local parks. During the school holidays we take trips further afield such as Conkers or a train trip to Matlock. . I like to keep the children in my care busy in a safe, loving environment so that they are happy and parents can go to work happy.
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted Registered child minder for 14 years and was graded GOOD at my last inspection (December 2019). I strive to provide a home from home experience as I believe young children develop best and are more relaxed in a home environment. I have recently updated my Paediatric First Aid training and Safeguarding. I have a level 3 Qualification in Childcare Learning and Development. I have been inspected by Environmental Health and was given a Grade 5 Food Hygiene rating. I am part of the local child minding group and spend a lot of time in the company of other childminders and the children they look after. I use an online system called babysdays, parents can log on to the system and see their childs online daily diary, daily photos which are uploaded, registers, medical, invoices and all their child's development and observations.

My hours of work are 7.30-5.30 Monday to Thursday. I currently have a vacancy for a 0-5 year old and some part-time availability.
I offer funded spaces for 2, 3 and 4 year old children.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
I charge £5.50 per hour and accept Childcare Vouchers. I am also registered to accept funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. Fees include all meals and trips out.

Amanda is an amazing childminder who is absolutely passionate and dedicated to the children she cares for.
My daughter went to Amanda when she was 10 months old and thrived within the environment Amanda has set up, Amanda made us feel at ease from the offset and our daughter absolutely adored her.
We moved house (over 2 hours away) and it was with an extremely heavy heart we had to leave Amanda.
