My Summary
Experienced Newborn Baby Nanny Available
About Me
AN EXPERIENCED NEWBORN SPECIALIST BABY NIGHT NANNY, AVAILABLE FROM SATURDAY 1 MARCH 2025
My name is Rachel Albert (Nanny Rae) and I am a newborn baby specialist night nanny, baby sleep trainer, live-in maternity nurse. See above for my current availability.
I am a highly experienced night nanny and live-in maternity nurse. I specialise in twins and teach mum and dad how to feed and settle both babies together independently. I have also worked extensively with reflux and cow's milk protein allergy.
I am currently working with a very kind, loving and gentle family in SW16 and I will be here until the end of February, at which time baby Felix will be almost eleven weeks old. I started working with Felix from when he was three days old
I have worked in the babyworld for many years and have a lot of experience and knowledge that I love to pass on. I am a mother of three children, all of whom have left home now, so am totally unencumbered!
I have many excellent references - all recent and contactable by phone and email. I am hard working, professional and totally devoted to my work - my many references will reflect this.
My five star Reviews are on this website and I have been awarded a Certificate of Excellence from the Childcare website. I have my First Aid Certificate for babies and toddlers and an Enhanced DSB check.

I am also an experienced baby sleep trainer. If your baby is unsettled, I may be able to help with the following.
***Baby starts crying as soon as you put him down
*** Baby not sleeping well in the day and/or night.
*** Sleeping with you in your bed all night.
*** Baby can only sleep if walked in the pram, carried in the sling, rocked in your arms, walked up and down at home...and wakes up crying as soon as you put him down.
***Refusing the bottle (this is increasingly difficult after three months but we can discuss it)
For mothers who are looking for a gentle and flexible routine, I teach this course on a one-to-one basis with you at home with your baby, feed by feed, over 10 hours and show you how to settle your baby. This is a course I have taught in workshops many times.
I have worked extensively with babies who have reflux or are allergic to the cow's milk protein and can advise you on that too.
My contact details are on my profile.
Please call for a (no obligation) chat or email me if that's easier.
With all good wishes
Nanny Rae x

ARE YOU TIRED MUMMY?
BABY NOT SETTLED, NOT SLEEPING?
I may be able to help......
Experienced Night Nanny, 24x5 Maternity Nurse, Baby Sleep Trainer and Problem Solver Available soon
Hello Mummies ( and Daddies)
If you are looking for a night nanny, I normally work 4 to 6 nights a week. I am next available from 1 March 2025. Many verbal and written references from my mums available. My fees are very reasonable, and there are no agency fees, registration fees or travel expenses.
I know many lovely mums who prefer to feed on demand, co-sleep with their babies/toddlers, carry baby in a sling or in their arms most of the day, rock baby to sleep and breastfeed throughout the night.
I completely understand and respect that. Every mother has the choice to do whatever she feels is right for herself and her family.
However, if you can relate to any of the following, and are a mum who feels you may like to try something different, then please continue to read on.
I may be able to help with the following:
***Baby cries as soon as you put him down in the cot and he is unable to self-soothe.
***He is unable to take the bottle and you have tried many times. (This is is increasingly difficult after 4 months but we can discuss it).
***He is only able to sleep if he is carried in a sling or is in your arms or lap all day.
***You are walking endlessly with baby in the buggy trying to get him to sleep.
***You would rather have routine and structure to your day.
***You would prefer not to breastfeed through the night.
***Your toddler is experiencing behavioral problems and you would like help with this.
Please call for a chat. There is no charge and absolutely no obligation. I am happy to give you a free 15-minute phone consultation, to see if I can help.
On a personal note, I am a mum of three and a grandma of six. I have worked in the baby world for many years and have a lot of knowledge and experience to pass on. I am kind, patient and a good teacher.
I have many mums who I have helped and who will be able to tell you how I have changed their, and their baby's lives, in just a matter of hours. A handful of references are also on my website.
I specialise in twins and with babies who have reflux and cow's milk protein allergies.
I have a DBS check, First Aid and am triple vaccinated.
I don't work on Skype - or do email and phone consultations. I actually come to your home and work alongside you and your baby across the whole day, feed by feed, teaching you how to settle your baby into a good and workable routine. I can also stay the night if I have the availability and in so doing, I stay a 24-hour day with you from the time I arrive. (My fees are very reasonable, slightly more than others charge for Skype calls).
If any of the above is of interest to you, please call for a chat. My details are on my profile page 2.
REFERENCE FROM MY NIGHT NANNY JOB IN JUNE AND JULY 2024 FROM ROISIN C.
When we first met Nanny Rae she told us that dependent on how much our baby weighed and whether he had colic or reflux, she would be able to help him sleep through the night by seven weeks old. We thought this sounded too good to be true, especially when he was our second baby so we knew what to expect. When we met her and she discussed her method it was very much in line with how we looked after our first child so we decided to roll with it.
We’re so glad we did! When our boy turned seven weeks old he started to sleep from 6-7 hours a night straight.
Nanny Rae is incredibly experienced and knows babies very well. She has so much knowledge to share and we learned a lot, despite thinking we already knew a lot from our first child. She was very gentle, caring and attentive with me too, as I had a caesarian and it took some time for me to recover.
The idea of following a method and routine can seem daunting at first, especially when you are exhausted. However, Nanny Rae works within a framework that is very flexible to your needs and those of your baby. We found it easy to fall into the routine and it saved us a lot of frustration and tiredness that we remembered from having our first child.
It is very helpful to have a night nanny to ensure rest and a speedy recovery. But it is also very important to know that your tiny baby is in safe hands. Working with Nanny Rae meant that our newborn experience was genuinely relaxing and we could enjoy and appreciate those special first weeks.
ROISIN C.

ANOTHER REFERENCE FROM ONE OF MY NIGHT NANNY ROLES:
Please find below a reference for Rachel Albert, who worked for me as a night nanny for 10 weeks.
Nanny Rae was a night nanny for 10 weeks for our baby girl, starting the day after she was born. She was reliable and diligent, and clearly cares deeply about doing her work to the highest standard. Nanny Rae was very good at settling Emilia, even though she suffers with reflux, and was very extremely loving and gentle with her.
I also appreciated her kindness towards me, particularly in those early days after the birth, as well as her generosity in helping me and my husband to have some time for ourselves.
Nanny Rae is devoted to her work, loves her job and has a lot of experience.

This reference is from my night nanny assignment from November 2023 to February 2024
"Nanny Rae is in many ways like a real life Mary poppins. She has a surely unmatched amount of experience and is utterly devoted to the wellbeing of the babies she looks after and she has tried and tested methods to help babies to be settled and as healthy as possible. Nanny Rae is one in a million and has become part of the family since she joined us to help overnight with our newborn, going far beyond the night nanny role to provide support and guidance to us as parents to our other little ones. Everything nanny Rae does is done with her heart in the right place and she is an incredibly special person that we are very glad our baby (and we) have in our lives".

This reference is from the father of my last twins assignment in September/October 2023
"Sometimes reviews can be very generic and unfortunately because of this trend, the words aren’t properly digested and so the feeling of the writer is lost and not fully understood. In the case of Nanny Rae, there is no collection of words than can truly capture how special she is to me and my family. My name is George Fox & I am the father of twin boys, named Elijah & Hendrix.
Call it synchronicity or something spiritually akin, Nanny Rae was made familiar to us by a very fortunate and random event, coming from Amy’s (My partner) auntie Ruth. A story Nanny Rae doesn’t know and will be finding out as she reads this, is I was initially completely opposed to having a night Nanny. To the point it caused a big argument between me and my partner (one of the many you have during newborn life, particularly with twins!)
I am a stubborn man, but I admit, I could not have been more wrong about this position. So where do I start? Before any of the education, structure or expertise, comes her special heart. I noticed very early on that we were dealing with a unique character, someone who I now call a ‘God send’. This was everything to me, as a prerequisite to laying any foundations with your children, you must feel someone’s heart and intentions. I pride myself on such intuition & feeling after meeting someone. Post this first meet, it became apparent that Nanny exceeded whatever I had hoped for.
I cannot begin to explain the demands of having twins. From worrying about eating patterns, to sleepless nights, to them disturbing one another, to the finer details of how to feed - the list goes on. I can wholeheartedly say that she has entered our lives and not only shared priceless advice but implemented sound structure, so that the twins development is ensured and also so that our lives have become significantly better than they ever would have been without her.
Her vast plethora of knowledge & experience on all things baby related is matched by her attention to detail and specificity. Not only has she advised on things to get within the home to make life easier, but she meticulously carries out her processes to make sure that no stone is left unturned.
Honestly, I could be here all day talking about each detail, to a point that almost matches her extensive note taking on all things related to your babies! Her doing this gives you such a clear picture and keeps you up to speed with where you are at with your little ones & what patterns or trends to look out for which may evoke certain responses.
All in all, working with Nanny Rae is the best decision we have made post birth. In fact it is a gift. Not only has she been our teacher & our Nanny, she has now become family. I say this because she will forevermore hold a place in my family’s heart & that is something we will never forget".

We highly recommend Nanny Rae! She joined us when our baby boy was 6-weeks old, and she stayed with us for 6 weeks. Before she joined us, we really struggled to develop a sustainable sleeping/feeding routine. As a result, we had been completely exhausted before we met Nanny Rae. Luckily we found her, and she worked her magic straight away: two days in, our baby could fall asleep by himself in the cot bed (without us having to walk up and down endlessly, trying to settle him). Nanny Rae and mommy then worked very well together, thoroughly taking stock every day of all the things that happened, and worked out an organised structure of feeding/sleeping times etc. By the end of her stay, Nanny Rae achieved that we could drop the middle of the night feed, so that mommy could sleep through the night. Thank you very much Nanny Rae !

Nanny Rae was an amazing help for us and our newborn baby when she came over the course of a couple of months to help us with overnights. The help and guidance she gave us was invaluable, and knowing that she was coming once or twice a week to look after our newborn overnight got me through the week. She could instantly settle our baby who suffered from both colic and reflux. We found Nanny Rae was the most valuable thing to us in the first couple of months with our new baby and would not hesitate to recommend her to anybody else!

It’s hard to believe it but our 6 weeks old screaming baby changed completely in less than 24 hours, all thanks to Nanny Rae!
We thought Olivia had reflux and colics and those were the reasons why she was crying so much almost constantly, impossible to put her down in her cot, the carrier was the only thing she could fall asleep. We were going crazy, I slept 2/3 hours per night for 6 weeks.
Nanny Rea’s problem solving visit and course was worth every penny, Olivia is a content baby now, she sleeps calmly in her cot almost through the night (one feed in the middle of the night while she is asleep!) and we finally understood the reasons why she was crying so much. A new baby and a much happier family!
Thank you Nanny Rae!!

Contacting Nanny Rae was the best decision. We did a workshop with her and within minutes of walking through our door, everything fell into place. Our little was 1 month and has been a contented, happy baby ever since and sleeping through the night since she was 8 weeks old.
Nanny Rae does not only know what she's doing but she loves doing it and you can feel that. If we are to have a second baby, we are definitely going to ask her to be our night nanny.
