My Summary
About Me
I have 2 boys aged 18 years old and 6 years old.
I became a Childminder in September 2014, although I am a qualified Early Years teacher and Primary School have worked in schools for 12 years. I decided to leave the teaching profession of working in schools to become a childminder assistant initially, then opened my own business whilst my son is still in primary school, this enabled me to have more time with my son.
In the past I have been a Governor at a Holy Name RC Primary School, which I did for 2 years.
I have been able to transfer my parenting and teaching skills into being a childminder; My style of teaching is very creative; I make learning fun, memorable and I incorporate physical activity, the outdoors/learning in outdoor contexts, cultural activities and science activities.
With the stresses on children's mental health, I make sure that children focus on emotional well-being, faith and challenge them to take risks in a secure environment. I love to make stories come alive and engage children through drama, role play and singing.
Children learn best when it is fun, engaging and based on their own interests. Being a Childminder gives me the freedom to tailor a curriculum & experiences based on books and the interest of the child. I also do include some direct teaching.
I have a very caring nature and believe that we have to go that extra mile to make sure that children love learning, children will absorb a lot more skills and information as long as they enjoy it! I have a lot of multicultural books and I am looking to extend the dual-language books we have.
My home is a loving Christian home, on one floor but is a good size and has a large garden with an apple tree, climbing frame, mud kitchen and area for growing. What I do is very different to many other childminders, I focus on building self-esteem/building confidence and developing friendships, physical development and language.
Because we do lots of our learning outdoors children enhance their use of senses, reading skills, counting/number/shapes & measures skills, creativity and everyday life.

From the moment I contacted Jessica to enquire about childcare she replied to me promptly so I didn’t have to sit around for days wondering if I would get a reply, and when I met her and her family they were all so welcoming and I knew that I wanted her to look after my child because she was so warm and patient in her mannerisms.
Jessica is very transparent with her fees and there are no hidden costs so you always know where you stand.
I am a full time university student and sometimes when I am on a clinical placement it can be quite hectic but knowing my child is in safe hands of someone I trust gives me a peace of mind.
She is a childminder who I will recommend to anyone and I am not a person who leave my child with just anyone because our children are influenced by the people are around them, so that is why I choose only positive influencers like Jessica for my child to be around .. plus I love the way she does lots of learning activities with the children which is good for their development.
Thank you for the excellent service Jessica and I look forward to having your care services for as long as I need it.

Awwwh such a lovely review! Just wonderful to read. I'm so pleased you're happy with my childcare services.
You have been an ideal client; I appreciate you both so much, thank you for being wonderful and an addition to my family :)
Jessica is a brilliant childminder. We know that our son is safe and happy when with her, which is everything you'd want from a childminder. She is very communicative and has a very common sense approach.
She really has become like a member of the family. Our son eats well and has learnt so much whilst being with her. We would recommend her to anyone that needs childcare.
Our son is a toddler and his development has improved greatly with her, he is only 2 and knows how to put on his shoes and take off his coat, which is a pretty big deal for a little one! He loves singing songs with her and his vocal has improved greatly. They have been on fun trips to play football and to go to play areas. Sometimes he has had such a good time that when he gets home he will cry because he is so excited to go back the next day!!

God bless
At first Jessica seemed ok my children seems happy there until there as a problem with the payments , I let her know about this problems with the student finance , we stopped my children going there until it was sorted a couple of weeks later it was paid but unfortunately she called me for a meeting and was very aggressive forwards me.

Jayne,
It has been almost 7 weeks since you came to my business premises and assaulted me, kicking me in the leg, punching me in the face, scratching my neck and pulling my hair to which I have a crime reference for and photos to prove it. You have been warned by police to stay away from my business premises.
Maybe other childminders/childcare providers should know how much of a danger you are running up huge bills (hundreds of pounds), using foul language whilst talking to my work colleague, using threatening behaviour, harassing me on Facebook and now on here.
I have recently received a good report from Ofsted, I have support and backing from the parents of the children I care for and the schools that I work with.
I am currently seeking legal action to get your comments removed.
Should you have any complaints bout me or the services that I run there is a formal process you can follow and I will be happy to assist you; please send in a letter or email and I will respond within 48 hours, if needed there will be a full investigation.
Regards,
Jess
Jessica is a very good childminder. It's easy to see that she loves children. Every day with her is na adventure for my son. They always do nice things, go for many trips and spend time outside. Also meals are always colorful and nutritious. Jessica is calm, patient and she shows my son how beautiful is our world.
