Our daughter has been with Lana from a very young age and she has absolutely loved being looked after by Lana.My son also attended Lanas setting and he's absolutely loved it.Lana's home is perfectly set up for childminding, with a lovely safe garden.My daughter is always happy and excited to be spending the day with Lana and loves seeing all her friends there. Lana have provided a very caring, supportive and fun home-from-home environment in which our daughter has thrived. Communication has always been excellent, with both children and parents, the children have a wide variety of activities during the day including plenty of time outside, and the food she provide is very healthy and varied.
Essentially I can’t recommend Lana highly enough for her brilliant home environment, range of developmentally appropriate activities, reliability and the relationship she builds with the kids in the Tilehurst area.

Lana has looked after my 2yr 5 month old daughter Poppy since she was 8 months old and we honestly couldn't be happier with the experience we’ve had. Lana is passionate about childcare and shows a deep care for our daughter’s development and wellbeing. We are continually blown away by the activities Lana prepares for the children and the outings they go on. We love the fact they spend so much time outside. Lana provides nutritious meals made from scratch which my daughter loves. Lana is highly knowledgable about early years development and always takes the time at drop-off / pick-up to talk about how Poppy is getting on. I have always felt relaxed and confident with my child being in Lana's care. Lana and Poppy quickly formed a close bond and we will be so sad to move on when the time comes. I would not hesitate to recommend Lana’s childminding services to other parents.

Lana is now caring for my second child. My first thrived in her setting and is now happily engaged at school. There are a few parents who have sent their next child to Lana and it’s easy to see why.
She is attentive and affectionate. She is kind and supportive. My children are outside playing in almost all weather. They eat food there that they refuse at home.
She has really focused on their emotional learning, as well as helping them develop their language and motor skills.
I couldn’t have asked for a better person to trust with my children. I am so grateful to have Lana in my children’s lives!

Sadly last year the nursery we had our little boy in shut down and we had to find new childcare. I was really hesitant at first, but Lana was kind, reassuring and fantastic with our son. From day one he settled in really quickly and we were kept updated with how he was doing and pictures of the fun he was having. A year on and I can honestly say I'm glad the nursery shut down. My son has learnt so much with Lana, he comes home everyday with new vocabulary and his understanding of concepts and following directions has come on leaps and bounds. Lana always gives detailed feedback about his day and is happy to answer any questions that we might have. My son has developed lovely friendships with his peers and is always excited to go to Lana's house. It's wonderful to see how well he's developing but the most important element for me is that I know he's happy and safe. I would highly recommend Lana to anyone that is looking for a childminder!

Lana has been taking care of my son since he was 1 year old. I can’t imagine better childminder for him. Tymon absolutely adores her and even though he is at nursery now he still remembers her and talk about her, which means she gave him great memories to remember. Lana has been my son's childminder since he turned one just over a year ago. I can honestly say that deciding to go with Lana as our childminder is one the best decisions we've made as parents. The settling process was really personal and went really well. Lana was keen to understand my son's routine at home so that she could get him sleeping and eating well with her. I felt really reassured from day one and my son has been really happy with Lana right from the start.
I love the environment Lana has created for the children she looks after. It is very much a family atmosphere where children feel at home. She has a lovely garden with lots of things for children to do (a trampoline, an outdoor kitchen, sandpit etc.) and takes the children out to parks, local woods or playgroups every day. She also sets up activities for them in her home like painting, a water table in the summer etc. She regularly meets up with another childminder so the children can play with each other. Lana cooks varied, fresh and healthy meals every day - even baking her own bread. My son definitely loves her food!
Lana is always keen to let us know how the day has gone and happy to share her advice and experience of having her two kids and having looked after children for many years. She has lots of expertise and is also really down to earth. This has been brilliant as two first time parents figuring things out! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lana.

My 2 year old daughter has been going to Lana for over a year now and she absolutely loves it! Lana has an amazing way with the children and fills the day with fun filled activities that they love. The setting is perfect, allowing the children to play and learn freely, inside as well as outside. There’s a lovely family atmosphere which makes it comforting for both child and parent!

I was so worried about sending my daughter to childcare. When looking, I never imagined finding a setting I would be so comfortable leaving my child in. But I did. From the very first session, she was so content that she has never cried, or even looks back to say goodbye! She’s now been with Lana for a year and is thriving!
Lana provides such a wonderful environment. She is very gentle with my child and supports her in her learning and development of new skills. She brings home crafts she has made, and is always so proud of them. For Christmas, she has made a decoration that is now hanging on our tree.
The easiest way to get my child to get dressed is to tell her that we are going to Lana’s. They do so many activities every day, and photos are uploaded to MyBabyDays. Lana takes them outside in all weather, I don’t think there has been a day she hasn’t been outside! I really feel that Lana cares about my daughter as an individual.
I find the homemade food Lana provides to be great, she even bakes her own bread! My child is a particular eater and Lana ensures she has foods that suit her needs.
I cannot recommend Lana highly enough, she provides a wonderful childcare setting, and my daughter has been more than happy there.

I am extremely happy with Lana and the care my son had received, In Lana's home, my son always feels welcome, clean, and well organised, and he has lots of fun playing with all the toys and with the other children. My son has really made great progress while he have been in Lana's care.
Lana is very keen to know about an individual interest's in each child & maintains great communication. I know my son have enjoyed sand and water play, baking, walks in the woods as well as outings to the park no matter how the weather is outside. He decorated a cup and card to give to his mother for Mothers’ Day and much more for easter..etc.Lana updates a babyday's diary detailing what My son have done each day. From this, I have a complete picture of his whole day including all his activities.
Lana provides a variety of foods each day lunch and also provide healthy snacks such as fruit, biscuits and rice cakes if he is exceptionally hungry. I am also aware that Lana ensures good personal hygiene by encouraging all the children to wash their hands before eating and after using the toilet. I’m sure that it is this practice together with the cleanliness of Lana’s home which is ensured that My son have remained healthy and bug-free for nearly 7 months.
All in all, I am thoroughly happy with the level of care my son received and I’m certain that being in such a positive and happy environment is helping him develop into a confident and self-assured little boy.
I would definitely recommend Lana as a great and reliable childminder.

I was very anxious about putting my then 8 month old son into childcare. It was the first time I would be leaving him with anyone other than my Mother. Lana very much takes an individual interest in each child & maintains great communication both through texts during the day & updates via the BabyDays website. My son very quickly settled into being with Lana & the other children & I feel completely relaxed now leaving him for the day. When I collect him, Lana always makes the time to tell me about his day & seems delighted by new developments or the funny things he does. I feel that Lana genuinely loves my son & I enjoy the affection they have for each other.
Lana is kind, loving & gentle with my son & I thoroughly recommend.

We have been using Lana as our childminder for the past couple of years and have been absolutely delighted by her competence and professionalism when it comes to the care of our two children. Our daughter goes to her after school and enjoys playing with other children in her care.
Our son goes to Lana for three full days a week and engages in a range of exciting activities like, forest school, picnic and park outings, playgroup sessions and creative games and art activities that Lana will organise in her welcoming and well kept home.
Our son absolutely loves going to Lana and will often ask if he can go to hers on the days when he stays at home .
Lana has really taken time to know our children and will know what makes them click. She has a very patient and kind approach with the children whilst maintaining boundaries in a consistent way.
Lana is also very good communicating progress that our son has made and will make a detailed account of his day on babys day with lots of lovely pictures . We also very much appreciate her flexibility , Lana will always do her best to accommodate any changes and will take into account personal circumstances. Lana has been by far the best childminder we have had she really is hardworking and passionate about early years and any child being looked after by her will be in excellent hands.

Lana is simply the best...
She is very professional, has attention to details when it comes to the well being of my child. She took her time to understand our daughter.My daughter is super happy to go to Lana's house and always saying ''lets go to Lana's house mummy'' even over weekends!
Lana's house is clean,she is genuinely caring and has enough Toys and activities for the children.I always look forward to seeing the report and pictures daily of their actives and fun during the day. I am so happy and pleased when ever my little girl is at Lana's place.
My little girl has changed a lot from when she started,she was shy and quite but now she talks more, communicate better and its just amazing to see her change from being so quite to more confident and happy girl.

I can not recommend Lana more highly for childminding. I found it really difficult leaving my son when he was 10 months old so I could return to work; Lana recognised this and not only looked after my son wonderfully, providing him with love and attention but she also looked out for me talking through the process and keeping me regularly updated.
My son is now 20months old and loves going to Lana's. He bounces into her house full of joy and excitement because everyday he does interesting things including going to local groups, playing in the park and playing all sorts of arts and messy play activities which don't always have the time/resources to do at home!
Lana really appreciates each child she looks after as an individual and gets to know them and their needs. She plays with them and gives them genuine love and kindness when they need it which is something I very much value. My son has also proved challenging at times with sleep and food. However Lana handles each situation professionally using her expertise to trial different solutions and talking them through with you.
The whole family are so warm and welcoming which reflects what a loving and stable environment Lana provides. Her two sons are happy to host the childminded children and my son really looks up to them like big brothers. I'm sure he can be annoying but they always treat him with so much respect keeping him entertained and happy!
Lana takes the time each day to let you know how your child got on and also uses the Babydays website to provide a daily report and photos: this is amazing and so reassuring when you have had to be away from your child.
As I said at the start, I can not recommend Lana highly enough!

Lana's setting was great for my daughter who was 2 when she started attending and very shy at the time but she bonded with Lana very quickly and Lana was able to nurture her interest in arts and craft to get her out of her little shell. Lana is very professional and a clean hearted person who enjoyed working with children and her family was very welcoming of my daughter who became good friends with her two sons. Her setting is child friendly and safe she has a very fun fill schedule which stimulated my daughter mentally and physical activities like walks in the local wood that helped my daughter to be physically confident. I would highly recommend her services for any body looking for a brilliant child minder very flexible to suit my partners work schedule. Even though my daughter is attending nursery now she still ask why she is not going to Lana s as she miss her hugs and kisses.

As soon as I met Lana I knew she was the person I wanted to take care of my daughter when I went back to work. She is calm, warm and clearly loves children, the setting is 'homely' and child centred. The transition into childcare was difficult for my daughter but Lana was extremely patient, flexible and very professional. My daughter is now so happy when she knows she is going to Lana's and will often ask after her even on the days she is not due to see her. Lana provides me with a full verbal update on how the day has gone and in the evenings we receive an online account of the day with photographs and development updates, it's really a lovely record of my daughter's day. We can thoroughly recommend Lana's services, thank you Lana.

Lana
Lana looked after my 2 children, 25 months old girl and 15 months old boy, for a couple of months in spring 2015. It was an emergency arrangement while I was looking for a leave-in nanny. Lana was brilliant as she was flexible to fit us in her busy schedule and came to my home in the morning and then took kids to hers. On the days I had to travel to the office I brought kids to her place for the whole day.
Unfortunately, the nanny I had before had to leave as she could not look after 2 little kids, one of which just started walking and another is steady on legs, but needed to be looked after carefully because of young age. Also, I had a couple of bad trials while trying to find a nanny for my 2 young kids. So, I know it is a lot of work to look after 2 young kids and not everyone capable of this. It takes either qualification or experience. But Lana has both. She was a god send and brought peace of mind during this difficult time. When Lana looked after my kids, I was sure that they were safe, clean, fed and also had plenty of activities to learn new things.
Lana used to work in a kindergarten, so she knows a lot of activities. She has a lot of toys at home, so kids are always entertained. Also, Lana cooks simple healthy meals, which was really important for me as a mother. My kids enjoyed their time with Lana. Probably, a bit too much as they did not want to leave her house at the end of the day!
I can highly recommend Lana as she is amazing at creating relaxing, safe and fun environment for kids.

Lana has been looking after my son since January.
He settled well and very quickly. He seems very happy.
Every morning he would wake up and ask whether its a day he goes to Lana's house which is a reassuring sign for me as a parent that he likes spending time with Lana.
Lana is friendly and naturally loving person. You can see that she loves children. I feel relaxed when I leave my son as I know he is in good care and looked after well. She has two children of her own and my son has made a great bond with both of them.
She provides wide range of activities indoors and outdoors. Her house is well set for different type of play and activities. Lana does lots of different activities during the day and updates me by sending pictures.
I would definitely recommend her.

Lana currently looks after my 15-month-old almost-toddler girl on a part-time basis. We think Lana is brilliant - she has a great relationship with my little one, who doesn't give me a second glance when she's dropped off, and is always pleased to see her. Lana is very well set up, having several different spaces for the little ones to play in, including the garden for fresh air. They do a variety of activities, including visiting play groups, and Lana leaves us feedback and photos to view on-line at the end of the day, so we can see what adventures out little on has had. Lana also sometimes sends me photos during the day when I'm at work, which always brightens up my day.
In addition, Lana has been very accommodating with our way of doing things - we use cloth nappies and do baby-led weaning, and we're a vegan family, all of which Lana has been supportive of and taken in her stride. Lana cooks lovely food too.
Overall - fantastic. Highly recommended.
