About Me

Hello, my name is Mickeela. I am a registered Childminder. I specialise in holistic childcare and offer an uncomplicated day care service to support your study, work, or leisure activities.
At Dove School House, graded "a good provider" in January 2024, I provide a nurturing environment designed to help your child meet milestones. My home nursery is open Monday-Thursday, 9:00am to 3:30pm, please enquire for extend hours. Featuring a bright playroom in Hackney South where children learn through play.
I am a qualified Early Years Educator with over 20 years of experience, including 4 years managing baby and toddler rooms. Our daily routine is inspired by the Montessori approach and includes activities like reading, independent play and thinking, forest school, stay and play groups, cooking, music and art. We spend a lot of time outdoors to stimulate imagination and vocabulary. I provide nutritious meals and snacks and reflect dietary and cultural requirements ensuring babies and children are eating the rainbow. Sleep is an important part of child development. My routine allows babies and children to take naps during the day. I provide soft sleeping mats and clean bedding. I have a dedicated nappy changing area for privacy.
Parents can access real-time updates through my childcare app. Parents evenings are conducted every half term. We are located just over 5 minutes' walk from Old St underground and Hoxton overground stations, with limited parking available.
