About Me
I trained at Norland College in Bath where I obtained a BA Hons Degree in Early Childhood Development and Learning.
After graduating with an honours degree I nannied for more than 5 years. Wanting to further my professional development I decided to train as a primary school teacher. I was given the opportunity to undertake my training within a top London private school and and have worked there ever since.
My Experience
- Teacher within a school in London.
- My previous experience with children covers a wide range of ages from 0-8 years.
- I have worked at Holiday Clubs and also helped in a local day nursery, as well as babysitting. I have helped in a reception class.
- I was involved in many different activities such as P.E, maths, reading and phonics.
- In the summer term I experienced working within a school nursery, I was very involved with the children's learning and development, spending much of my time outside and helping with Music, Ballet and French sessions.
- I went on to help with babies ranging in age from 8-20 months, developing my skills in sensory play.
- I had experience within a family situation for 6 weeks, the children ranged in age from 12 weeks-4 1/2 years. This experience gave me insight into the running of a household and the home and social side to family life.
- Residential experience with quadruplets
- 6 week newborn twin experience
- Neonatal dissertation and six week placement
- worked within a family with three children for nearly two years. (G12, B8, G2)
- One year full time (64hr week) position nannying twins 10.5months old
- 3 years with children aged 7yrs, 5yrs and 15months
