About Me
My name is Funmi. I’m an Ofsted registered childminder. My business is insured and I am a member of national childminding association (PACEY). I have 6 children in full time education. I speak and write fluently in English. My fees are reasonable and I am open to negotiation depending on parental needs.
I best describe myself as passionate, empathic, and have a willingness to help when it is needed. I consider myself to have good communication skills, patience, able to work under pressure whilst stimulating children’s learning. Providing warmth and comfort to children who are not engaging or possibly suffering from illness or hurt is a quality I also have and I find children are able to connect and build a rapport with me.
As a childminder I have a good knowledge of the new EYFS and will be applying it in my practice. I offer a safe, secure, no smoking and nurturing environment where children can flourish. The children will benefit from a garden space with resources to help stimulate them as well as indoor play area with resources and materials to help aid the prime and specific areas of their learning and development.
The day-to-day activities will consist of adult lead and child initiated (free play), appropriate for their age and stage of development. To name a few, there will be sand, water play, constructions, cookery, story time, nursery rhyme songs, messy play, painting and art and craft and gardening. Children will learn to care for two gold fish. As part of my routine the children will take part in a variety of local community activities that include play groups, leisure centre, baby/toddler gym, local library, local parks, visits to local gardening projects, farm, fruit picking, Museums, suitable for their age and much more. The needs of your child will be met through observing and monitoring their progress and to work in partnership with you.
My Experience
I have acquired a valuable experience in working with children in a private nursery. Through my experience I have developed tremendous knowledge in understanding children’s physical, educational, social and emotional needs, to enhance their development and to provide trusting relationship with a diversity of children and their families.
I have six adorable children to whom I supervise their academic and social development.
My Qualifications
I am qualified to: Level 3 in childcare, Level 3 in setting up a home based childcare service (CYPOP5), a current Level 2 paediatric first aid certificate, Level 2 Food hygiene certificate, Level 2 certificate in Safeguarding.
My Availability
I am situated in an area that is close proximity distance from local schools/nurseries: Wormholt park school, Pope John School, Ark Swift Academy school, Randolph Beresford early years and excellent transport connections: bus 283, 228, 207, 260, 607, 95, 220, 72 and the White City train station/ Shepherds bush train station. I am not to far distance from Queen Charlotte Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital
I can provide care for children aged from 0 + years old. I am prepared to do morning drop off from my home and after school pick up to my home within range and provide all day care during school holidays. In addition, I am able to offer emergency cover.
I am available to work Monday to Friday and my time is flexible.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
Fees are negotiable and can be discussed. I also accept childcare vouchers/child care costs through government schemes. Discount can be offered depending on circumstances.

Funmi has been a wonderful caregiver to my daughter for over a year. She has been incredibly well looked after, encouraged, educated and nurtured by Funmi. She is a very warm and loving carer to the children she looks after and you can see how fond they are of her too. I would highly recommend Funmi to anyone looking for childcare and willl miss her very much when we leave the area.
