My Summary
Very Experienced Qualified , Caring Nanny Ages 0-112Yrs ( Experience- Worked Also With Elderly )
About Me
Hi
I hope your all well, I am 50yrs young and have an 18yr old daughter and 3 step children ( who live with their mum). I live in Feltham with my husband and daughter and have lived here for 19.5yrs. I am a caring , fun, loving , happy person who enjoys helping people, cooking, reading, walking , swimmimng, playing games and being outdoors. I am a hard worker and take my role seriously to ensure the health and safety of anyone I work with. I am firm but very fair in my approach. I am kind hearted and loving and enjoy my job being a nanny and being a little silly sometimes ( don't we all ) . I believe working with children is something that you want to do it is not just a job, you form attachments as do the children/child, you can't just walk in and out of a child's life, and just break bonds they are little people who matter and have feelings too.
In my spare time I like to go for walks, work out at the gym, I also have my own little glitter page as I make glitter items from cups, glasses to picture frames along with memory keepsake items such as feather memory light bottles, baubles. I also now make resin gifts such as keychains, bag charms, coasters, jewellery etc all which I can personalise very messy at times but who doesn’t love lots of sparkle and if making something that can be a personal gift which brings a smile is worthwhile.
My Experience
I have over 30yrs experience with children and the elderly.
I have worked with social services and the private sector with children in care, over 5yrs experience in a pre-school. I have experience with the elderly again a caring role so have been lucky to work with ages ranging from Newborn - 112yrs.
My most recent position I was there for 3.5yrs only left due to little lady starting reception, and family requirements changed. In all my nanny roles I have had sole charge, whilst working closely with parents.
I like to make sure we have fun whilst learning. We will do lots of outdoor play & activities parks, feeding ducks, muddy puddles, running about, all while learning new things words, colours, songs etc.Going to baby/toddler groups is important and depending on age arranging play dates, any social interaction is a vital learning curve. Children learn through play . At home there's lots of fun stuff arts and crafts, puzzles , messy play, making play dough or baking cakes, just as important is having time out from being on the go, having a cuddle whilst enjoying a story, or singing songs, is great and begins a life long love of reading and a great way to learn.
I include lots of educational activities such as phonics, writing, maths etc. I have excellent checkable references, which will either be available at interview or contact details provided at that time. I am Enhanched DBS checked and on the update service. I am also a back up foster carer and looking into becoming a respite foster carer for under 2yr olds.
