I am a fully insured and Ofsted registered childminder with upto date first aid training and safeguarding training.
I am a 44 year old Mother of one. I enjoy cooking , gardening and the outdoors. When childminding, we visit local playgroups with outside play areas , parks and woods and we also visit our allotment for picnics and outdoor play and crafts, and seasonal gardening activities as well as collecting eggs from our lovely hens.
I have a good selection of age appropriate toys , books, and craft activities.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 10 years and previous to that I was a Tefl English teacher to young learners for 8 years.

I have availability for under 5's on Tuesday /Wednesday/ Thursday.
I have availability for school pick ups from Carfield Primary on Monday /Tuesday /Wednesday /Thursday.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Daily Charge of £50 -hours 8.30am -5.30 pm
After school pick ups £6 per hour.

Rachel was the childminder for my daughter from 11months to 3.5 years old. I couldn’t have been happier with the care she provided. From days on the allotment trampolining or learning about nature, to trips to the park and local children’s group, my daughter was learning and being nurtured in a small, safe and loving environment. I really felt my daughter benefited from the focused care and support in Rachel’s homely setting, as well as developing close friendships with the other children there. Rachel always went above and beyond for my daughter and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough!

Rachel has been an excellent Childminder for our 2 year old. She communicates well with parents, has good advice about the changing stages of a baby into a toddler. She takes them to the park regularly, has a lovely outside area for the warmer months, and is very accommodating for any specific needs required.

We're so pleased with the care Rachel gives our son. Rachel has supported him in learning many skills - he was so proud of himself the day he learned to put on his shoes by himself! Our son has enjoyed the wide variety of activities and experiences that Rachel has provided, from growing courgettes to baking cakes and frequently exploring the nearby park and woods. Rachel is great at keeping us up to date with details of each day. I would highly recommend Rachel.

Rachel has looked after my children for six years, caring for them as babies and preschoolers, then picking them up after school. She unfailingly provides gentle, appropriate care. The kids have loved going to her and developed a genuine attachment to her. We are now moving house and I wish we could take her with us! Her communication with us as parents is always friendly and clear, and we trust her to deal with any problems that arise.
