My Summary
About Me
My name is Jazz Humphrey, I am 26 years old and I live in Stoke-on-Trent with my boyfriend. I am a fully qualified early years practitioner who is affectionate, caring and loveable yet bubbly and creative.
I own a full drivers license and my own car so I am happy to commute to and from work if I need to. I can be very easy to get along with and like to create special bonds with all the children within my care, and also having a good relationship with the child's parents is important to me.
I have previously worked in a private day nursery within a baby room, although I have had experience with children aged from newborn to 11 years old. I have had experience of having my own key group of children within the nursery, in which I carried out fun, exciting and benefiting activities which ran alongside the EYFS. I am very used to following children's individual routines and I adhere to parents instructions.
I am now currently work as a nanny share for two families. One family I have been with for over 6 years and they have two little girls, aged 7 and 5, I have been looking after them since when the eldest was 11 months and when the youngest was born and bought home from the hospital! The other family I work for have 3 children, aged 7, 4 and 2. Unfortunately the youngest will be starting nursery in September so the family will no longer have enough hours to offer me.
I love being a nanny as I love the freedom it gives me. I like to take the children out on days out, to play areas, classes etc. Also, I can help with school runs, errands, children’s appointments or anything that may involve me driving.
I am also up for helping around the house if i am required to. I will happily cook homemade, healthy meals for the children too. Aswell as being DBS checked to work with children, I hold a paediatric first aid and safeguarding level 1 certificate too. I am also Ofsted registered.
My Experience
I have had experiences of being around children for a long period of time, as I have had many younger cousins which I love to be around and care for. This began my love for children and wanting to become a nanny.
From this I got a job at The Gingerbread Man in Market Drayton, within the Wacky Warehouse play barn. I spent around 2 years here caring for the safety of the children and making their experiences memorable.
I then proceeded to college for 2 years where I completed a National Diploma in children's care, learning and development at a triple distinction grade. During this time I undertook 800 hours of on hand experience, at 4 different child care settings. This included:
Mount Lane Day nursery- Ages 3-5
Market Drayton Infant School- Ages 5-8
Renee Harrison Childminding- Ages 2-3
Napley Lodge Farm Day Nursery- Ages 0-1
From there, Napley Lodge Nursery offered me a full time job and worked within the baby room for just under a year.
This leads on to where I am today. I have been a nanny now for over 6 years and have worked with 5 different families, all of which I have made great bonds with and keep in contact with. I currently am looking for a part time nanny share, where I could work around 2 days a week.
My Qualifications
Triple distinction National Diploma in Children's care, learning and development.
I have a full up to date DBS check, safeguarding certificates and I am also trained in first aid, as mentioned above.
My Availability
My current hours of work are 8-5, but we could come to an agreement if different hours are needed instead. My current family are very flexible on the 3 days they’d like the nanny share for.

My Fees
- Nannying from £10.00 per hour (gross)
Currently my salary is at a rate of £10 per hour daily, and £12.50 per hour overtime/babysitting. I have worked my way up to this rate by experience, so I wouldn’t go any lower than this.
