My Summary

My Experience

I have had two years’ experience working with children; one year in a nursery, one year in a school and nannying.

In my year at the nursery, I worked with a range of children aged from 6 months to 4 years and I spent most time working with children from 10-18 months. I had responsibility for 5 key children- planning daily learning activities, recording formal observations and keeping their learning profiles up to date. I was praised by staff and parents for the trust the children had in me. The job helped me develop an awareness and understanding of safeguarding requirements and the EYFS.

Following this, to develop my understanding of the education system, I worked for one academic year at Fulham Pre-Prep Primary School. I worked solely with key stage 1 and my job entailed assisting extracurricular subjects- art, games, ICT and music. I also supported the administration team and helped run school events. In addition I supported staff in the classrooms, working with children on a one-to-one basis and in groups, assisting in a range of different activities and with children of varying ability. This helped to develop my understanding of the broad range of abilities of children across the first three years of schooling. My time at the school developed by my confidence in behaviour management and building relationships with the children.

I have also worked as a nanny for one year for two children, aged four and seven. My role involved taking them home from school, overseeing any homework and reading, cooking dinner and organising what the children would need for the next day. This gave me an opportunity to gain understanding and experience with children outside a formal or educational setting.

My Qualifications

I have 11 GCSE's grade A*-C, including Maths, English and Science. I have 3 A-Levels; A* in English Literature, A in History and A in Drama and Theatre Studies. I also have a Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce (Early Learning and Childcare), as well as a valid Level 2 Paediatric First Aid certificate.

My Availability

As a full-time student my availability flexible however it can vary weekly and monthly as my timetable changes at different points in the year and depending on work load at the time.

My Fees

My fee's are dependent on the amount of children I would be caring for and the type of role required.
