Looking for Part Time or Temporary Positions
As a nanny and maternity nurse, I have enjoyed working with children from newborn to teen. Ideally, I am looking for a family who enjoy the outdoors and animals.
I am a hard worker and thrive in a busy family environment. I am passionate about caring for children of all ages and have had lots of personal and professional experience. I enjoy spending time with children and love to watch them grow and develop at all stages. I have completed additional training courses to improve and further my knowledge with new practices and theories and continue to develop and maintain my skills, keeping up to date with new ideas and legislation for caring for children.
I believe children learn and develop creativity by exploring their surroundings and having new experiences. I like to get messy and enjoy an outdoors life, regardless of the weather. I believe in providing children with a varied and interesting selection of activities to promote physical and mental development. I like to follow a Montessori style of learning encouraging children to be independent whilst providing a nurturing and supportive environment. I am a big animal lover and enjoy taking children to visit with animals and engage in interactive animal handling experiences.
I believe a healthy and varied diet is important to the development of young children, and as a keen cook and I am always happy to pass on my skills and involve children in the process. I am very keen to cook from scratch and batch cook to ensure there are homemade options for days where time does not allow for a fresh made meal. I like to be organised and prepared and am happy to help with all aspects of care.
I like to take a gentle approach when it comes to routines and always consult with parents about their opinion before beginning any changes. I believe manners are essential for all children from a young age and enjoying helping children learn, develop and grow.
Please feel free to message me if you have any further questions or would like to discuss your requirements further.

Katy looked after my 3 year old twin girls for most of summer 2023. It started as a short term temporary role but I found her help invaluable so asked if we could extend and luckily she could accommodate us. She has been working 8-7 and takes care of everything in the evening (dinner, bath, hair and bed) which is fantastic. She is always on time and takes them out on lovely adventures all day. I’ve noticed the girls are much more confident around other adults since Katy has been looking after them. The girls really like her and always ask if it’s a ‘Katy day’ today - they also love her dog Izzy who is amazing with kids and completely amenable to being squeezed and cuddled. We will all miss her terribly when they girls start pre-school in September - can’t recommend her enough!

Katy has been babysitting my two children for nearly a year. I was very nervous as it was my first time having childcare other than family. Katy made it a really easy transition. She is really easy to talk to and the kids love her. She is very calm and patient and loves taking the kids on adventures. She has recently taken them to play zone, a Christmas market and queen Elizabeth country park. She is laid back and flexible and a lovely genuine caring person. Highly recommended.

Katy worked with us for over a year and really became part of our family. She has bundles of energy and was always coming up with interesting, fun and educational activities to do with the children. She is reliable, organised and always calm in a crisis. Our children absolutely adore her and still look forward to seeing her whenever we can.

Katy was a great help, she was with us on the day we arrived back home from hospital and helped with all things new as my twins were my first children and I had a c-section I truly appreciated all the help.
she was kind to my twins and made sure I was looked after as well.
Thank you Katy for all your help! Very much appreciated!

Katy worked for us for 4 weeks starting when our twin girls were 3.5 months old in Sept 2016. She was caring, competent and discreet (we lived in a flat in Central London at the time) and I felt confident leaving the girls in her care. I had already established routines and ways of doing things with the girls when she joined us and she was able to seamlessly slot into this and she suggested some improvements along the way.
She was responsible for all aspects of the nursery - feeding and changing the babies, settling them to sleep, laundry and sterilizing the bottles and breast pump. She had sole charge of the babies at night and also sometimes during the day. Katy was enthusiastic and genuinely interested in the babies and made some good suggestions about music for them to listen to and age appropriate toys.
In addition, her training meant she had read the latest literature on various aspects of child care and she was well informed regarding different approaches. She had a very professional approach to her job which we appreciated.

Katy joined us when our twin girls were just over a week old and was with us for 3 weeks in total. Katy immediately stepped in with all aspects of looking after the girls, helping with feeds, nappy changes and bath time during the day. At night, Katy had sole charge of the girls.
Katy allowed me to rest and recover from labour and also express milk for the girls. Katy also allowed my husband and I to spend time with our 3 year old daughter, maintaining bed time routines etc.
Katy helped us streamline processes with sterilising bottles and further organise the house so we can efficiently look after the girls. She was also happy to help with cooking meals and do laundry.
Katy takes everything in her stride and isn't phased by anything! She remains calm and collected and when I had to go back into hospital she looked after all 3 of our girls on her own without any notice.
We highly recommend Katy and were very fortunate and grateful to have her help.
